This drive takes you along two of my favorite roads, Utah 12 (although briefly), and then Cottonwood Canyon Road. I wasn't able to drive the entire length of Cottonwood Canyon Road, but I did go about halfway, to the best part -- the Cottonwood Narrows. This drive also passes Kodachrome Basin State Park, which I will cover in a separate video.

10:20 to end was worth the whole trip. Thanks for the memories.

You clipped out the best view of while trip. I used a photo of the distant road for a T-shirt that said “don’t follow me--I’m lost”

I was wrong--you did get the best view--the view I used for T-shirt at 11:45. There were so many good views.

I was tempted to run that trail from Kanab to Kodachrome but the weather called for thunder storms and 30 percent chance of rain. Lucky for me I took the hiway because it rained all the way to Kodachrome and Cottonwood Trail was closed!

You should have no problem on a normal day. I've been through there 3 times in the past few years, and it's never been a problem. If it has recently rained, you probably don't want to be driving that road anyhow, it can get sticky.

Thanks! I'm well read on what happens when it rains....you have any idea how long I might be in "timeout" if I get caught in weather out there?

Can anyone tell me about the river ford at 05:59?...can a car handle it on an average day? How long does it take to calm down after a rain?
