- A lot has been said about the new Land Rover 110 Defender. It's time to see how it performs off-road for ourselves.
This is part 1 of 3 testing the Defender in different performance situations. Stay tuned for our beach test and towing test + full vehicle walkaround.
Big thanks to the Australian 4wd Advanced Driver Education Team for letting us use their tracks for this video!

Just ordered a poverty spec P300 to do exactly what you're up to, Bush bashing over Mt Mee and the Glass House Mountains and beach driving up Rainbow Beach, Bribie and Fraser. I've come from an ML350 with Off Road pack which was surprisingly capable and what got me the most was how comfortable the Defender is even more than the Merc, just and awesome piece of engineering.
Has it arrived yet? I've ordered a P300 too but its taking a LONG time to arrive ...........
Another Great Video Andrew. I'd be keen to see it tow under load on your RAT runs. Keep up the good work. Brad
Please learn about its TC and terrain response systems, as a disco 3 owner its really annoying to see people getting stuck because they don't know how the vehicle works.
I daily drive an LR3 as well... learning about LR TC is as essential as learning about low/high range or diff locks for other vehicles
Yep. Seriously - too lazy to spend 10 minutes reading the terrain response section in the manual and then clueless when driving the car. Honestly.
@@AP-mn4os Then complain the TC is TOO complicated
Great video. I wouldn’t have even bothered with low range at all for any of that - Wasn’t needed.
I want to take my Discovery Sport there and it doesn’t even have low range although 1st gear is a very low ratio.
Hi Guys. Great series of videos. Now subscribed. Quick question, to help me decide on my order for a 110 D250. What colour is your Defender?
That's Eiger Grey I think.
Great dual purpose vehicle
Great video, just need to get rid of that music.
I agree I gave up on this video because of the music, thumbs down!!!
The old man along lol
Another good video ruined by discotheque music. Is it not possible to let people hear the natural sounds ? I only do disco music on Saturday nights before bedtime, not while watching landy's in action.
That track, ciurse, or road isnt challenging at all! In any event not for such a car. I can do the bridge with my eyes closed in mkst cars. Look for a more challenging obstacle course with mud, deeper and steeper gorges etc.
I could do all that with a Ford Fiesta !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY..asked for a buy back a week later..first problems: radio, reverse camera, traffic not showing, keyless entry, air suspension low in the morning...then after dealership downloaded new software in two visits, now keyless entry never works, sometimes traffic is off(4g), air suspension goes down in front only during an overnight...many other defenders are having these problems..I wanted my velar back that had 0 problems in 30K
In Australia?

Ok I know American complaining always haaa it luxury car you have money for maintenance
DO BUY.... Have two 110 Defenders in our family. P400 and P300 both for over 6 months and 9ks roughly... Not a single problem except a paint issue that is being fixed on my driver door. Don't be that GUY ;-) and tell everyone not buy a vehicle because you have had some issues
@@HughSmith many others are having problems, check the message boards
Are you taking the piss. That is VW combi roads. I have taken worse roads in a combi to radio sites in Africa.
You call this off-road? Its a walk in the park come on.
