- In this relaxing video you can watch me painting Australian river gums in the style of Aussie artist Len Hend. He has a wonderfully easy technique for capturing Australian scenery and has many how to videos on his channel. He is one of my favourite artists and I've learned a lot from him.
Hello I'm Leigh, welcome to my channel!
I am a self taught artist and my desire is to inspire people to just get some paint and slap it on a canvas. I promise, you will love the experience.

I am a bit rusty with my landscapes at the moment (I forgot to paint in the trees on the background mountains, didn't realise till I was painting the shadows for the trees in front of them, lol). I love to paint Australian landscapes, but have been experimenting with other styles lately and it felt like coming home to paint this one.

Thanks Dave, you have a good eye. I admire Len Hend very much and hope he is okay. Completed Len's open learning course many years ago, he has a wonderful manner and is such a good teacher. Haven't done a painting like this for a while, maybe it's time to do another one.
