    This video will take you step by step through a painting with many gum trees. You can paint this scene in oil or acrylic. The demonstration canvas is 20x16 inches, you may wish to paint a smaller or larger painting.

    A very enjoyable time watching you paint this one Len. You are a master in the field of painting specially with Gumtrees and having a stand of trees made it more enjoyable. Always enjoy your paintings

    A lot of North American bush scenes on youtube. This is exactly the technique i'm looking for, its what i see across the road on the Albert River near Beenleigh..thanks a lot

    I’ve watched some of the North American painters, but I don’t live in Montana or Alaska, but in Australia. Len paints wonderful Aussie landscapes that I relate to.

    I lived in outback Australia when I was young - I now live in Mullumbimby (worth checking out) and I also live in Chiang Mai.

    Magnificent lesson on doing Australian Gums, love it l am currently doing Alcohol inks on tiles and trying to do Australian gums, this has been a wonderful lesson, many thanks.

    I really started my trees from watching this very video years ago, away I went, Im pretty good but get scared to do it as I want it better but your ways so easy.

    thankyou len for teaching us...it's funny i havn't attempted to paint a realistic tree as yet but i trued yesterday and i just painted a dark brown trunk ha ha like we learnt in school no wonder it didn't look right but tomm i will attempt to follow your lesson i will take my time and practice cheers ya aussie student

    Great what make of acrylics do u use len

      I use many brands.
      In Australia I often use Chromacryl. Matisse for some odd colors like the Indian yellow type colors.
      When in Thailand I use some local brands and the Rowney or Winsor and Newton - can't remember how to spell them at the moment. Galerle or something like that.

    They resemble the Eucalyptus citriodora- Lemon scented gum I feel the most stateliest tree in the specie. very nice painting as well.

    i am not doing to good on this one but its my first try i can always gesso over my canvis and keep trying i having trouble with the bank and using the pallet knife and mixing my colors to dark for everything

    i want a village scene..but all over the RUclips videos i just see the tress...no houses,no roads no nothing.....plz if u can help me Mr.Len Hend...plz do a painting of a scene that contains houses roads & everything.....plz plz plz....For God Sake

      Len has a couple of Village Scenes. Have a look at his Lessons. He even shows yiu how to do a village as viewed from a distance.

      I just heard you say "Ultramarine Blue" which I assumed was Warhammer Citadel Paints from Games Workshops. If that isn't the case, what paints do you use? Very nice painting too by the way.
