I am OBSESSED with this show and Cast! Please never change the cast and keep going! I am so mad I have only just discovered this show on Netflix! I binged watch all available episodes for all 3 seasons and have already started watching it back over and any interviews I can find on YT.
The best character is the sheriff, he brings balance to the almost endless stream of wokeness and melodrama. If he didn't have me belly laughing at the first episode I'd have probably ditched it by now, his character makes the show more tolerable, the sheriff and the deputy scenes are always hilarious. As for the melodrama and cliched storylines, they need to do much better, painkiller addiction has been done to death, by characters we invest in never mind the town drunk which was clearly being telegraphed as soon as she started complaining about aches & pains. Also the adopted daughter cliche, I mean did anyone think it was going to turn out all rosy? Personally I think the mayor & his wife should get a spin off where they move to a big city and the mayor can't handle it.
