Aye, we grow broccoli same stems all year round.. several at different times (succession sowing) to ensure even in winter we can enjoy our cruciferous veg! Inclu cabbage, swede, turnip, cauli, sprouts, etc...
it depends on what you mean by that because the plant will keep producing offshoots that will grow into flowers and while they still taste the same as the first flower(the broccoli head) they are a lot smaller, and now to answer your question, all broccoli(and other varietes of brassea oleracea) is technically perennial and it depends on the variety, for how much it will survive.
You get one main broccoli floret. Then basically as many little ones as your plant can make given the nutrients. Then the plant goes to seed. But if you grow in really good soil and be a good plant parent you can get 20+ florets the size of the one in the video and the main one would be the diameter of a dinner plate. Also depends on the type of broccoli
I got you first comment can u pin
Done😎
Thanks
I wish you showed the seed pods so people didn't think they came from that fresh head you chopped lol
Yea would probably be better 🙈
So how did it grow?
@@hnq8289have to let the broccoli go to flower first. The head blooms yellow flowers then they form the seeds
Just about ready to gather some seeds here for replanting 😊@@lburrsshinyhunts2253

That's sprouting broccoli, not the same as head broccoli
How are they yellowish in the inside?
The yellow part are tiny flowers that haven't bloomed
I make veggie powder from broccoli and cauliflower leaves. Nothing goes to waste
