Arozarena does fit the Dodgers personality for sure. He also likes the lime light that LA provides.
Arozarena would be a great addition. Has experience and we all know what he has done in the playoffs. I believe we should be given Outman another opportunity and look at getting a 3rd base replacement for Muncy

Randy had One outstanding playoff run, and the rest have been bad. He isn't a good player. His defense isn't good and his stats have declined every year. Plus Rays would likely want a heavy return to get him.

I agree the worst take dmac did was "If you want the W you have to slug" this is why the dodgers offense has been so lackluster everybody is swinging for the fences instead of putting the ball in play. they need contact hitters not more power hitters who strikeout a zillion times.

Arozarena hands down. Hard to put a price on postseason success. If any team needs players who succeed in the postseason, it's the Dodgers. Enough with the high strikeout reclamation projects.
Teoscar is a "high K reclamation project…" … Arozarena is a very good option as well. But he also is a high strikeout project (he avg. 160K per year) Luis Robert as well... So what's your point?
@@Erschophone what kind of teams usually win in the postseason? Teams that K a lot, or teams that put the ball in play? Get too many swing n miss in the lineup and the situational hitting will go in the tank. That's my point.
Randy had one good postseason run and everyone says crown him. He stinks. The only good thing about Randy is his contract.
@dgrblue4162 actually he has a career 336 average in 9 series in the postseason. In his first two series, 2019, he appeared in 5 games. He only got 4 ABs and went 0-4. From that point on, his averages have been 500, 421, 321, 364, 333, 111, 375.

Neither. Both are having seasons only sightly better that CT3 which isn't saying much. I'm tired of reclamation project trades or acquisitions. DFA CT3, recall Outman. And while we are at it, can some explain to me the value of having Biggio on the field? What does he bring that we don't already have? So far, he's a downgrade.

If the Dodgers and White Sox make a trade, it should involve Crochet. If the Dodgers are looking for a Skubal or Flaherty, Randy is probably the best option.

Sorry to say this DMAC but it seems you're only giving importance to Robert's stats from last year and he's not that player. On the other hand, I agree with you that they shouldn't forget the real need for a starter (Skubal or Crochett or Flaherty, in that order) and, preferably, add Tanner Scott

What track record? His 2020 postseason was awesome but otherwise he has been a lame duck. And his current season has been near dreadful

Neither. Andy Pages is basically a younger version of Arozarena offensively (numbers don't lie), plus Arozarena has injury concerns already. Robert Jr. has legit big-league talent and proven it at that level, but again the injury tag is just too prominent for me to take such a deal to land him seriously. Somebody will take a chance on him, though. Would rather wait for Outman to finally finish his "extended ST" in AAA and get back to his regular CF spot for good!

These two players are not equal. One, Luis Robert Jr is more valuable than the Arozerena. If you are giving up the same amount of players, go for Jr. Arozerena should be way less of a give up in terms of players then Jr.
Long term, Jr. is a way better player to have. Short term, it is nice to have Arozerena as a rental, for his high energy play in the playoffs. But long term, Jr. is way better to have.
The problem with Roberts Jr is that he is coming off an injury. What will this mean? More injuries in the future and not playing full time? Or other? This risk effects Jr's value and brings it down. Maybe a bargain.
