Yea understand that, wasn't really a comparison between the two just checking its meter . at about the 8 min mark I point out the 991a amp1 is on. And I also play with the ftx10 amp1..The main thing I was looking at is the lower S reading for such good audio.. My 7300 was always a bit higher on the S meter than the 991a.. So I was wondering if yaesu is more Stingy or more accurate. Didn't have the 7300 hooked up to compare.
I have a new FTdx10, bought today and the S meter is just like yours! VBarely moving even with noise crashes! Jon G4FUT
You cant compare the FTDX10 running IPO and 991 with amp 1 switched on. The radio is calibrated with AMP 1 on. I only run IPO On 40m-160m

Yaesu 100 microvolt S9 no pre. Icom 50 microvolt mo pre..this the answer pre 1 on Yaesu 30 microvolt pre 1 on icom 30 microvolt... Now it s Right..
