- When the Tata Harrier was launched a year ago there was only a manual variant. Now the 2020 Tata harrier gets both 6 speed auto and manual versions along with the BS VI ready 2.0 Kryotec 170 hp diesel. Renuka Kirpalani & Jay Patil drive both the auto and the manual versions and tell you what else is new & whether the 2020 Harrier is a better car.

@@bharathj4615 The donation was not entirely from him. Tata Trusts donated over ₹500 crore. And later that day, Tata Sons, the holding firm of the Tata group companies, announced an additional ₹1,000 crore support towards Covid 19.
Kudos to #TataMotors for taking consumer feedback as value as possible. The new #Harrier now feels a value round package by all the means. Let them now improve their after sales as well... 👏👏❤️
Thanks to Tata motors for making their first buyers feel like beta testers who now have the value of their cars significantly lowered by now.
But the price is the problem now they didn’t amend the xz variant , they introduced new xz+ , which means now it is costlier by 1-1.5 lac from the Hector and 2-3 lacs from the seltos
Being a nexon owner, they have improved a lot and still working upon it.
@@abhishekchaudhry3979 how can u compare it with seltos? Harrier is based on a bigger platform, more wide, long and also bigger 2L engine!
I would like request Tata to make world class car and bikes for India. And need to develop new engines which can run the world. Instead of depending on others.

Hi , everyone as we know In RUclips comment box most viewers support harrier and tatamotors.but sales figures proves that it was just fake love only.
As per sales figures feb2019 to Dec 2019 only 14805 units harriers was sold.
Kia seltos just one segment down to harrier Jan 2020 ( 1 month only)sales figures is more than 15500 units.
Price difference between top models is just 2.5 lakhs
Tata must change their strategy and harrier must attract kia, Hyundai,MG customers to this segment by giving attractive price and features.
We know Tata always hear customers feedback seriously. Now Tata will face seriously competition from new Creta,Mg, Haval,citroen,new Jeep compass,xuv 500.
If Tata is considering few more upgrade then harrier will be non beatable in below 20 lakhs segment.
1. Rear disc brakes
2. 10 inch infortaintment system with 360 degree camera.
3. Optional 4x4 system.
4.paddel shifters.
5. Internet connectivity.
6. Standard black colour option.
7.electric operated boot.
8.19 inch alloys.
9. GNCAP rating
10. Automatic petrol engine.
11. 5 year unlimited warranty ( even newbie Chinese company MG is giving 5 year road assistance and warranty)
12. Must improve Tata sales and service experience ( that is the real fear factor among customers, it was always hit or miss)
if Tata do consider little more upgradation in Harrier then it Will be an real kickass SUV in this segment.hope TATAMO is listening ❤️❤️.
I don't think harrier will compete with new creta in case of features...And also these updations like electric boot etc can be done only in the nee face lift 2021... I think tata is not listening to their customer feed back....they can add plenty of key features:( those you mentioned abve) at this price around 18L... Harrier won't survive....😪
When hector was launched it got very good response from customers despite of new company and also a Chinese brand. This car looks very premium, very city car unlike SUVs, seating position is very good, not very high so passengers do not have to climb up, very feature rich. Seltos is a very good looking feature rich compact and very practical car for city drive. Seltos got excellent response from customer from its debut which denotes Indian people prefer compact SUVs or compact pseudo SUVs. These basic points have made these newcomers successful where being a very old brand Tata still falling short. Harrier in spite of having high safety rating with some good features is not doing well. May be initially they did not understand at a specific price what customers want like a sunroof power adjust seat etc which a foreign company easily understood. Does it mean Harrier lacks practicality?

Updates make it a better buy.
Rear window screens, front parking sensors and rear wheel disc breaks would have completed the package and really made it an unbeatable global product. Tata motors already have these in their other products.

360 degree camera, Tyre pressure monitoring system, Power Tailgate, Car Connect feature, Ventilated Seats, Gear Paddle shifter these features which rivals offer are missing. But TATA build a Muscular SUV. 👍
People want all the features in a Tata car, and when the asking price goes up they say 'U can buy a Jeep Compass or a Tucson at this price, who will pay so much for a Tata".

After increasing the Power to 170 Horses, still TATA need to add few things on HARRIER:-
1. Rear disc brakes.
2. Ventilated seats.
3. Ambient lighting.
4. Paddle shifters.
5. 360 degree parking camera.
6. TPMS and wireless charging.
7. All LED exterior lighting.
8. Lag free infortainment system.
9. Connected car features.
10. Roof Rails like GRAVITA.
These are some essential equipment list TATA should need to add in the Harrier. I believe most of the features are available in TATA GRAVITA.
It's good but the touch pannel is not satisfactory, might be a bit wide

The beast in its segment... harrier some how gives feeling which other cars in its segment doesn't...it feels much ahead of others ..b it road presence b it looks it's simplicity ride n material quality.

TATA has to train dealers, they don't bother to follow up and lack of professional aspect. Most of buyers are confuse at the point of actual buy and other dealers win the game due to their way of approach.
EVERY INDIAN LIKE TATA AND WANT TO OWN.
0-100 in just 10.15 sec faster compared to its rival mg hector automatic petrol which takes 10.78 sec to achieve 100 kmph and jeep compass which takes almost 12 sec to reach 100 and this beast weight around 1780 kg kerb
Lack of features like
360 camera view
Head up display
Seat ventilation
Infotainment display is small
Above features is available on KIA seltos

Connected car features, ventilated seats will ruin the SUV ness of harrier ( though harrier is not a true SUV like safari but its still the true 5 seater SUV than the so called seltos hector compass SUV ) . also I feel panoramic sunroof has also ruined the class of harrier . this has been the problem with tata - safari , hexa & harrier great SUV,s but not decent sales figures . Also tata is improving their services so people must buy tata also

Now this is a Great car to look at, It gets all the essentials plus the same power output as the Jeep. This is the SUV to look At.
Dear Autocar gave them a feedback to change the shape of that headlamps. A strong headlamps placed next to the DRL will look more aggressive and presentable.

Tata motors has to consider about the interior colours of harrier . It would be great if Tata motors give options like beige interior colours . Or lighter colour . Convey to Tata motors
