Thanks for the compliment! Indeed a lot of love goes into these rebuilds and its great to get to share it with so many of you that appreciate it also! 💚
Gorgeous. I have an 01 Jekyll sitting around I might give it the works as well. The paint looks amazing. You did everything right with this build anti seize and silicone paste is definitely the way to go.
@@bottoncino_bicycles The haters will always hate on them. However, they are super nice on the right trails, even mine at 20+ years old are awesome on single track.
I hadn’t seen RC cranks with that finish but I have a ‘95 Trek 930 that has full color cranks and rings, as well as both derailleurs. I got lucky and found the front and rear cantis at the bike co op for $15, and I’ve got polished silver LX trigger shifters to go with it all. I love that smoke chrome finish.
I still have a CAD3 M900 (1998). The only original part is the frame, I replaced the Coda groupset with a full Shimano LX group set with new Mavic hubs and rims. My son now rides it. It is a really good bike. The welds are finished much better than current aluminium frames, and it has a handmade in the USA sticker, pretty cool.
Yes, that's correct! I only mentioned it when talking about the rims, though. Do you know if that was referring only to this bronze / golden color or all their anodized parts?
@@bottoncino_bicycles I think it refers only to the anodising on the stx /RC group and was originally a bit darker. I think the bronze hue effect might be caused by aging, could be wrong though...
I love these bikes, I have an m300 in a beautiful metallic blue, not a cad model though, possibly a little older. One of my most beautiful bikes, and I've got at least 100 of them lol.
Words can't begin to describe how beautiful the bike turned out. Great job. You won yourself a new subscriber looking forward to what comes next.
Thanks for that feedback and your sub! Really great to hear! 💚
..you have good eyes and hands, picking parts, make them shine and living again on your builds…💜

Another well executed build . ❤
Thank you! 💚
Nice build. I bet the parts look even better in person.
Thank you! Yes, very much so... a gray, cloudy January day did not help, either... 😅

Nice and thank you! Yeah, go show it some love! 💚
I have an 01' Jekyll 2000 as well as an '04 Jekyll 1000, among a few other Cannondales. Fun bikes, especially with a Lefty fork on them.
@@That_Stealth_Guy I also own a '13 F29 with Lefty Fork. Absolutely love that thing!

Very cool! Would love to see pictures! 👀🍿
Lovely bike! Great work 👍🏻

Very cool! Great to hear it's still in use and yeah, the finish of these frames was far ahead of its time
The Chromica finish of the Shimano STX is maybe one of the best of all times.
Yeah, incredible how shiny it is when it's nice and clean!
Wundervoll! ❤
Danke! 💚
Simply... WOW !
Haha, thanks! 🙏
Stupid nice! Dang guys, you are killing it!
Dang, and the goal was to resurrect it... 😉
I think Shimano used to call that finish "chromica", I'm a sucker for shiny stuff and wished they'd have put the stuff on more groups!

WHAT? More than a 100? Where are you located and when can I come visit for a tour of your collection? 😅
yess do a fixed gear :)
😁👍
Do you know the inner size of your rim ? Seems pretty thin for the billy bonkers, is it Ok ? Love the result btw ;)
Thank you! Pretty standard 90s mtb rim width, so all good! 😉👍
Cyclokros model ?
No, Street Shredder! 😉
What's the song at the start of the video?
Keep On Movin' - King Canyon
Good...no stupid disk brakes
Haha, well, to each their own. But it's not for me either 🙌
Very cool, but levers might not worki well with that cantis.
Thanks! Why not? They are canti levers
Gyönyörű bringa a hőskorból. De hogy tud egy ilyen pedált rakni egy STX-RC, amúgy gyönyörű hajtókarra?!?!
What kind of pedal would you have preferred?
@@bottoncino_bicycles Ilyen pedál filléres, olcsó bringákon van. Nem írok típust, de mindenképpen jobb minőségű, a Cannondale-hez illő pedált tennék.
