All in all I like your approach and the end result, clean and nice, I personally will be putting double chainrings in front of my Tange Precision cromolly frame for better chainline and performance in my older age

BTW I’ve seen Park Tool recommend using thread locker instead of grease in the brake post mounts in their cantilever setup video series, and I had one screw come loose in one of my bikes the other day (I always used grease), so there may be some truth to it after all…
Nice build. I'm doing something similar with mine. I think it's a 91. Just did a cool matte red to matte electric purple fade and slowly assembling using a blend of original, used and new parts.
Beautiful bike...but I would have to drop the seat post a little and raise the handlebar stem...I find the "downhill look" a little uncomfortable...Keep up the great work!

Danke! Ja genau, die Nigrin Reinigungspolitur aus unserem Shop. Ein NW Chainring ist sicherlich hilfreich. Fahre dieses setup aber selbst bei zwei Bikes und es funktioniert in der Stadt problemlos. Wenn man aber auch offroad unterwegs ist und die Kette mehr in Bewegung kommt, würde ich definitiv auch zu NW raten. Problem ist, dass es da eigentlich kein Angebot mit 44Z gibt, was einem eine brauchbare Range für 7/8er Kassetten gibt

I know that in some countries water is a precious commodity, and fortunately or unfortunately, depending how you see it, most of us here in USA have running water that we waste a lot of. Hey, thanks for that question! So originally, I started using the sprayer simply because there was no hose access in the yard where I do the cleaning. But, I have noticed that with the pressure that you get from that sprayer you get great results with much less water. So I can't claim that I started using it for environmental reasons, but it's a nice added benefit and I would highly recommend it!
@ interesting. Never thought that little pressure would do it. I used to use a pressure washer but on old bike it can damage parts that may be hard to find for replacement.

You are right on the top tube length in relation to the seat tube. If you check out the saddle height, we made sure to go for a small enough frame size to ensure a good riding position. The stem also has short reach and high rise, so should be all good 👍

My first mountain bike, which I still own. Apart from a bit of chainsuck damage to the paint on the chainstay, still in pretty good condition.

What did you use to cover the cable that ran across the top tube?
It's a cable housing for exactly this purpose that some bikes - typically higher end ones had back in the day

youll probably want a swept back riser bar on that bike only cause the top tube is so long on most 90s mountain bikes.
