Love a rum talk and this is definitely the kind of rum I like to talk about! I've been interested in Renegade too and it's also not available here, so I'm glad to hear your take. I really like the briny flavors in the Rivers and Clairin Sajous, so I'm still interested! Because I like the savory notes in rum, I'd thought I'd like a more maritime Scotch (which I know very little about), like the Bunnahabhain you discussed a while ago. Does that translate? If one likes briny rum, does one like briny Scotch?
Well, I will say this, like briney rum, AND briney scotch , so I'd say yes that translates. The briniest scotch is probably Laphrioag so if you lie that, you like brine in general. I recommend bunnahabhain very much in general, and if you are new to scotch its great!
@UnclePete it doesn't taste like rum. I did a blind taste test with some friends of mine with JM Blanc and they thought it was some kind of weird mezcal.
Ahhh an Anders hat! Nice….. I miss his old intro, with the flamed orange peel. I’ve never wanted to flame an orange before that intro…lol.
LOL Flamed Orange peels or fun as hell!
I love your rum reviews. Please keep them coming!
Thank you! Will do!
I love a good Rum and these look really good.
They are wild!
Nice hat, Uncle. Chicago love.
Cheers!
River Antoine is very good. To me it tastes very similar to Clairin more then it does to rhum agricole.
I can see that. It’s fruity to me, where agricole is grassy and clarin is savory or olive y

I love rum, and I really can't get into the Rhum Agricole.
Yeah, It is not for everyone. An acquired taste for sure.
