this is a fine example of how extradordinary classical music can get. Nazakat ji and salamat ji has blown me out with this performance. By far the best darbari I have heard. Salamat ji has a voice which reverberates like lightening in overcast sky. Spellbound performance.

@@engr.h.mbasirijaz1249 Ustad Salamat ji was blessed with such a voice. The texture, frequency allowed him to sing such ultra fast taans. Ustad bade fateh ali khan performed more of the style of ustad bade ghulam Ali Khan of patiala gharana. If you see, Ustad nazakat ji used to sing the steadier part and the vilambit part well, while salamat ji was master in drut (fast) section. They followed Sham Chaurasia gharana, and were directly In the lineage of mian chand and mian suraj khan, who were contemporaries of mian tansen.
Ustad fateh Ali khan ji had a more stable and matured approach towards a raga. Whether Nazakat and salamat ji had the more flamboyant style. Well, all were legendary in their own aspects

An absolutely mesmerising rendition of one of the most difficult raag to execute. I mean the fact of the matter is pretty simple, in terms of the emotional aspect this version is by far the most evocative and definitely in my opinion second to none! Ustads SAK & NAK were a uniquely dynamic combination of gayaks...

Darbari Kanada or Shuddh Kanada came from Carnatic music and was introduced to King Akbar by Miya Tansen. An ancient raga that continues to enthrall. The reflective interpretation of this raaga by these brothers is soothing and startling at the same time.

No, Adibumbus, this is not the tarana (yar-e-manzil beya...) which has the antara consisting of a sher from a ghazal by Khusrau. It is a bara khyal ("Hazrat Turkomaan...") followed by a chhota khyal. Anyhow, the singing is peerless.
