great vid. hard to get a comparison on these two lasers. I would much rather spend the extra on the hilti knowing that now as we do a lot of high end work were accuracy is needed
The fine tuning nob on the side of the Hilti may be the biggest advantage over the Dewalt. Dewalt users often have to tap with a pencil to get laser to perfectly line up
Just ordered one with some accessories. I ordered a second battery because why not when it’s only 35 bucks. Lol anyways thanks for the review, not much out there on this level but I’m excited to get my first green laser after owning multiple red ones.
In Melbourne Australia you can get your DEWALT line laser range recalibrated…. But I still got the Hilti before watching this because the DEWALT gets bummed if you break any part on it
Even the bosch milti line laser is rated as a better product than the dewalt. And it would fit in nicely between the two priced approximately 500 -700 .
I got dewalt green laser for Interior's that's perfect but when you try use outside u can't see the laser ... my question can you see the laser outside in the light day
Hilti or the new Milwaukee? I have Milwaukee everything but I when looking at the prices, Milwaukee is trying to compete with hilti price for laser... if that’s the case, I want to see a comparison of the 2. Do u think you’ll be getting milwaukee laser?
If it can't be calibrated and you can't get a straight answer from Milwaukee or their sales reps about it being calibrated get the Hilti. Most other designs have the diodes set in epoxy and can't be calibrated. At least in the 3 line lasers like these
With the hilti you can used it indoors and with the receiver you could used it outdoor not sure about milwuakee I also own milwuakee tools but the hilti laser is much better on my opinion I own the PM-40 MG
One of my guys was laying out wall openings on a job and one of the other contractors had a PM-30 he let us borrow. My foreman called me the next morning and said, "we have GOT to have one of these in every one of our trucks, it saved me half a day on one job!"
Hilti's warranty is not as good on their lasers as it is on their other tools, read the fine print. It came back to bite me to the tune of $250 on a 3 year old laser.
Yes that's out side of the warranty period. But most other three line laser cannot be recalibrated. So the Hilti might cost me money to repair. At least it is going to be repairable.
... not so much. The light is pale on 90° from 360° and can't be received more than 4 metres. If you need to line up outside, can't be seen more than 6 metres.
My Hilti lasers are terrible I would never buy another one, the on off switch is junk the laser line is to fat it and at a distance the laser line is so wide it’s impossible to use, you can keep that garbage.
Shut up snob, hes doing a basic review and i found it very helpful in my decision to lean toward hilti.......is a feature review not a accuracy review.....you keyboard critics make me sic with your demanding but do nothing attitudes......we call you a dickhead where im from.
What a ridiculous argument. 1/16 + 1/16 = 2/16 or 1/8. If Timmy has half a glass of water, and Johnny has a full glass of water, how much more water does Johnny have compared to Timmy?
Very much appreciate you pointing out the calibration issue! Deciding factor for me that I hadn't considered.
Thanks for this video. Going with the Hilti, wasn’t aware it could be calibrated until you told us, Thanks!
Happy to help man
Yeah I got the Hilti with all the accessories and it is awesome. Definitely worth 800
Thanks for mentioning the calibration aspect. I appreciate that indeed
Bought the pm 30 because of this video
And I’m at the envy of all my coworkers
Love it. I'm still really enjoying the laser.
I’m a believer! I just got my Hilti PM30-NICE!!! PM30 can be calibrated twice a year!
Thanks. You just answered my question. Hilti best.

I'm in the same boat man

Very true
Nice, I'll be sure to consider one of these badboys when looking for a laser in a few months from now. thanks lad.

Is it for outdoor as well?? I'm electrician and get to run alot of piles over the walls. Let's say 10 stories building.
Not waterproof sir
Hilti it's numero 1 ♥
You've peaked my interest in the hilti laser, how has it been holding up ?
Still love it. The 15 minute charge time and 12 hour run time are awesome
@@86ConstructionContracting thank you

This laser is brighter then the DeWalt. But both lasers work with a detector for outdoor work
@@86ConstructionContracting haw match hilti pm30
They make a receiver for this tool.
If ya buy 5. pm 30s in Aus they do a deal 770 with GST definitely worth it if ya got few mates who want em
That's a lot of friends who want pm30's
If the Hilti laser got magnet at the back I will go for Hilti. The magnet is really convenient design
It does have magnets.

Yes totally true, buying cheap tools you always end up buying them twice!
The KING PM30 NO COMPARISON EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOT CLOSE!!!
How about Geo Fennel Geo6X? Hilti +-3mm/10m. Geo6X +-2mm/10m. Brightness Hilti Horizontal 40lx and vertical 15lx. Geo6X Horizontal 39lx and vertical 34lx. Working area Hilti 40m / 100m. Geo6X 60m / 140m.
A light to see

Few years back they went to the straight 2 year, Wear & Tear Warrenty.Nothing 3 years old, other than fleet tools has ever been covered.

That's why the Hilti has a laser receiver. Voala!

Ok cool thanks for letting us know
4 hrs on the DEWALT is not right. Mine runs for 2 days on a charge.
I dont think that the Hilton being 1 16th more accurate over 30 feet means it's twice as accurate....
Is 1/16 half of 1/8…?
