God blesses me with amazing oppertuinities. All of my horses end up with me because they were either not wanted, too dangerous to ride, going to the meat worx, or people have said they are useless and will never get anywhere. Theres something in them that speaks to me. Its normally the really naughty ones that rear and buck and are hard to handle on the ground that I like and do the best with. They have attitude- you just have to understand them.
They really chill out after coming here, and put all that naughty energy into positive energy. Often they are so grateful they will do anything for you. Horses dont create the problem- its people that create problems for them. Gold Rush had only had a few weeks ridden work in his life until I got him as a 7 yr old off a sheep station. I was given him to sell on for the owners and decided to buy him after riding him for 1 week. That was less then 2 years ago
xD I'm sorry, I didn't realize you met every horse on the planet and have a conversation about their happiness. If you think that way then whatever but your comment was unnecessary.
Ashley Maddison xD That's funny... is that why my horse runs up to me every time I go to the barn?? because he hates me and is plotting how to attack me when I'm not looking? I bet
You and your horse sum up every single thing I want to be someday. Simply an inspiration, beautiful, indescribably talented. Don't stop doing what you're doing, you're the best in the whole world
Hey....A cowboy buys a horse from the town pastor. The pastor explains, “To make the horse go, you gotta yell, ‘Thank God!’ And to make it stop, yell, ‘Hallelujah.’” The cowboy rides away. He rides all day and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff. Searching his memory, he yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” The horse grinds to a stop just at the edge of the cliff. The cowboy wipes the sweat off his forehead. “Phew!” the cowboy sighs. “Thank God!”
This is so inspiring! You have a wonderful relationship with your horse and I admire all of the time and work it's clear that you have put in :) Your horse is very lucky to have you.
it must feel like u can escape from all ur problems when u gallop @ the beach. I've only galloped on a farm. I really wanna do it on the beach!!!!!! 😏😏😏😏
I love your videos so much I truly love you bareback riding And your videos inspire me to do more and become something of it! True horsemanship real training Great bond!
You have such an amazing bond with your horse. I've tried bareback and prefer it to riding with a saddle (that doesn't mean I'm good at it though). I believe anyone could get on a horse and throw themselves over some jumps but it takes real trust with your horse to do it bareback and without a bridle. Your horse looks like he trusts you a lot too. Thank you you've really inspired me.
So beautiful. Thanks for taking us along for the ride..this is a ride I truly enjoyed! I must say, the editing, along with the music selection, is superb! :)
Id like to be able to say I taught myself, but I didnt. My horses taught me. I dont follow any method, just listen to what works with it and go with it :)
I miss riding so much! I trained a couple of horses and felt very safe and secure riding bareback and just a halter and lead rope. They took their cues with leg pressure, voice command, slight tug on the rope. So much fun. But it has been 20 years since I have ridden and your videos remind me of thos past years. Thankyou so much.
What breed is your horse? A Pinto? Or an Arab? The coat color is so great. Like a white Arabs mixed with a Palomino. I'm so jealous. Your Horse love and trust you to 100%. You are a wonderful women and you have a equally wonderful Horse.
Vanessas Channel Eine deutsche :D *freu* komm mir n bissl einsam vor bei den ganzen Englischen antworten.. Absulut. :D Viele andere auch aber wir sind immer an der spitze :D
>.>...... I'm so jealous... I've never had luck with horses. The few times I've gotten on one I felt like they were going to rear, bite me, or try to throw me off, I don't trust them, which I happen to feel bad about because I love horses. Sometimes I wonder if I'm good with animals or not, horses and animals in general have this mystique, some esoteric nature that I wish I could somehow connect with, but sometimes I feel like I suck at it completely... A little bit depressing since I am planning a life in the countryside with many animals included, haha I guess I need some advice from an expert in this. It might sound off topic though, considering the video I guess.
There's no 'luck' with horses, no special nature you have to connect with, you just have to understand natural horsemanship and know what you're doing.
You must have complete trust and not show the horse that your afraid they can feel it through the saddle and by the way you talk they will take advantage of you but if you speak calmly they will trust you again it's all about horsemanship.
I really can't understand why there are dislikes on this video! It's absolutely amazing! To have that sort of bond with your horse is incredible and something almost all horse owners ( including myself) strive for with their horse! This is a truly beautiful and extremely special relationship
What if your horse spooks and doesn't stop?? Because you don't have a bridle so you have less control, even if you do control with your body sometimes the horses get frights
i agree with you in principle, but must remind you that if a horse REALLY wants to do something,it will always be stronger than us and no amount of tack or gadgets will stop it.
Not necessarily. You can train a horse to stop completely when you lean back, they get so used to it it permanently gets hammered into their brain, they have almost no choice but to stop.
I understand what you guys are saying but I'm just saying it can be extremely dangerous and anything and I mean anything can happen and I'm not saying you need a bar of metal to do that
Seriously i have to cry from this.. This is such an amazing bond you have with your horse, and it has to feel amazing, riding on such a horse, galloping on the beach, without any tack, wish i could do the same with my horse ;)
I know of no other proffesional eventer/ rider/ show jumper, who can do this on their horse which they use to compete! You are a total inspiration! My life long dream is to ride bareback and bridleless on the beach with my horse (sadly never happened as he was taken back) and just to see you two....is just...i'm lost for words! This is my dream goal! You are amazing, this relationship is like no other!
Poor Ashley Maddison. So miss guided....Have you ever seen a herd of Wild Horses? Probably not. Enough said..............Lets free all the dogs & cats too!!.......... People like you just do not have a clue......
ROBYN GERELL AND KODY PHELPS...KEEP YOUR ASININE COMMENTS TO YOURSELF. KARMA'S GOT A WAY OF DEALING WITH FOLKS LIKE YOU. GROW UP...BE AN ADULT...AND STOP BEING D-BAG'S.
What?? I am grown up. I did not say anything that deserved this. Karma? Mine is wonderful thank you. I am not a D-Bag. If you do not like what I said about Ashley M. and her antics then you must be a child like she is. I have grown up, now it is your turn.
this connection she has with her horse reminds me of me and my horse. he would do anything for me, and i would do anything for him. love seeing that these relationships still exist.
I hope you have more animals than the two horses and dog because I can tell that your animals are healthy and happy which every animal deserves! Thank you for posting
Riding a horse isn't about actually riding it; it's about the bond, communication, and absolute unit yall become with time and effort. That's what I love about horses and being able to be one with them
Beautiful display of oneness with rider and horse. I trust my horse and my horse trusts me. No horse is completely bomb proof, but if it trusts the owner/rider they are much less likely to react dramatically. There is never a guarantee that nothing will ever happen as in anything we may do in life. The beauty of riding is knowing the amazing power the horse has and yet graceful & gentle at the same time. How I would love to go ride on a beach somewhere.
I began free riding 20+ yrs ago on my 1st Arabian mare. My mom bred & trained, but she was my own at 6yo. The mare did anything as a 3yo to get me off, but by 11 I was free riding her in open fields. We did exhibitions with ten gates, halts, roll backs, serpentine, figure 8's, jumping & +. She trusted me completely. I became a certified instructor & started all 1st riders on her. Your horse has a massive hand gallop & they're thoroughly enjoying their free beach ride!
Great video. When I was a kid I rode tackless, no neck lead or halter almost every time I rode with my friends (after ruining a saddle from pond crossing and getting my butt whipped by my dad). Riding tackless solo was another story unless it was a well known trail for the horse. I'm much older now but I still remember and miss the thrill of the ride back home with no tack at all, hanging on for dear life as she ran faster than she ever would with a bridle on. Thanks for the video,
I love the bond you have with your beautiful horse. Obviously, it took a lot of time and dedication to get you both where you are today. I definitely admire that, and I loved the video!
you look just like my mother when she used to ride we both love horses and we both got lessons my mother had her own horse ur so good you communicate with ur hosre so well its the best think i could see to get me back in horse riding thanks :D
Amazing video ! I wish we could see much more people like you ! You can feel the mutual respect and trust just by watching these videos, that horse could do anything for her, I'm sure it took time, but it's amazing what people can do with a little love and patience ! An amazing example to follow !
beautiful video! You all are a great group, nice camera work in capturing the freedom of the day. Thank you for sharing your beauty, friendship, and happiness! Cheers from the US.
C'est juste superbe cette communion entre cette brillante cavalière et son beau cheval! Bravo ! Ils doivent avoir une confiance aveugle l'un enver l'autre!
Alycia you are amazing! I love watching all your videos and will purchase your dvd when I can. As a horse owner of almost 10 yrs now (and self confessed nervous rider), I can only DREAM of riding HALF as well as you do! You are such a inspiration, keep on with your incredible self! Heather

Not necessarily. You can train a horse to stop completely when you lean back, they get so used to it it permanently gets hammered into their brain, they have almost no choice but to stop.
