This is a late reply, but both the MG and MG pro are the exact same tuning. The only differences are the chassis colors, and accessories. The MG chesnut brown version comes with two cables (1/4in and 4pin XLR), while the MG pro black/red comes with the coiled cable and a pair of extra earpads as seen in the video.
Hmm I'm not interested In beats level of rumble but I wonder if this has that quick punchy bass, or would it just go very low but lacks the punch like audeze LCD 2c and the rest of the family.
I have not heard the LCD 2c, but I use and love the LCD-X. The low end on the two is quite different, but I enjoy both. Been a while since I did a side-by-side comparison.
@@RecordingMag Thanks for the response. My relative has a 2c (some people said it has a stronger punch than the X) but to me it has worst bass than even my HD 650 (doesn't even have mid bass slam). So I'm curious if this one has an actual punch haha.
@@spiritualarchitect4276 I am not familar with the AS-1200, but I have had zero issues powering these with the headphone amps in my Apollos, Dangerous D-Box+, RME ADI-2 or Little Labs Monotor, or just the headphone outs on many of my keyboards.
@@RecordingMag Are headphone amps STAND ALONE amps that do not hook to speakers - they just connect to the headphones? And they have to be near you because they do not come with remote controls?
Great video. What about the clipping? I've heard a lot about clipping on Focal headphones
No clipping at all that I have experienced
This is how most be done the headphone review. Thank you.
ahahaha, no flaws, no review: maybe commercial
What's the difference between MG and MG Pro? Couldn't find anyone who did measurements for boths.

@@RecordingMag Would a Yamaha AS-1200 amp be enough to power the Focal Clear MG's? Or do they need some kind of dedicated headphone amp?
