I remember this fight between Caesar and Malfoy the first time. The theaters went on cheering in the 2011 release. But when the moment Caesar said "NO!", the entire theater went dead silent. What an amazing moment!

Stunned silence for a moment then the crowd erupted. Nobody expected it and we didn't know how to react. What a moment.

The originals are all great movies but I think the new ones did a great job. I could be wrong but I think these ones are like a remake so it’s 2 separate timelines. Definitely all great movies!!!

This is how to do a remake.

    • @thebackyardbear
      @thebackyardbear 3 месяца назад +2

Not a remake or a reboot... a continuation of the same storyline. The original movies are set in the distant future, in a world where apes are the superior species, having replaced humanity. These newer films are essentially prequels that tell the story, set in modern times, to show how the original movies would have happened. This has been so well received because it is NOT a reboot or remake... but a CONTINUATION of the same story. The Marky Mark version was a reboot... and widely hated.

@@thebackyardbear but in the originals Caesar exists with a completely different story in “Conquest of the planet of the apes” I always thought that made this a remake because they are both about how the apes and Caesar took over? Look up the film it definitely says this one is a remake of it.

I can't stress how special this movie is to me. It was my first big theater reaction. When Caesar spoke, the whole theater when dead-silent. It was like our souls had left our bodies, and for those few seconds of silence, we felt like the inferior species humans are destined to become in this franchise, and I broke the silence with a loud, "YES!"

I slept on this movie for a few months and finally watched it with my girlfriend (both our first time)... And we had the same reaction to this scene.
Suffice to say I did NOT sleep on the 2nd and 3rd films. This trilogy is the best trilogy since LOTR.

  • @shannyd1

    All hail the great CAESAR💚
This is an amazing trilogy, Caesar💚 is the best!!! ...love him to bits, hes a way better leader then most human leaders today. Hope u react to the other two.Caesar only bit the finger, it was still attached so that mean neighbour was lucky.
Notice after all hes been through, Caesar has no first instinct or intention to kill humans or hurt people, just to free his apes. He never even killed the nasty Draco, he killed himself out of stupidity. Also the apes didnt kill any innocents, they just trashed a few offices and scared people tbf. You can see how heartbroken Caesar was to reject his human dad after he turned his back, its clear how hard it was for him & he continued using his window as his symbol on street signs afte r escaping. I always root for the apes, animals are true to their nature, & we betray ours.
Also, Caesar can be infected again, so he also get even smarter when inhaling the 1.13 virus too, plus Caesar is way more intelligent since he had a proper human childhood education from Will.

Big apes are magnificent animals and share a lot of our DNA. I saw gorillas in the wild and will NEVER forget it. If you look into their eyes it feels like you are staring at another human.
It is sad that big apes are held in captivity. But unfortunately they are extremely endangered. Gorillas and Orangutans still get hunted by poachers.
I can really recommend the movie "Gorillas in the mist". About the life of Diane Fossey, a researcher who taught us a most of what we know about gorillas. She was a fierce woman who lived (and died) protecting gorillas.
Love your channel and your videos. Wishing you a lot of health and love ❤

I think you would love 2 movies from back in the day. Dont know if im wasting my time suggesting them or if you only pay attention to patreon recommendations but here it goes.....
    1) FATAL ATTRACTION, (1987) starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close
    2) JOY RIDE, (2001) starring Paul Walker and Steve Zahn. **Make sure it's this one. There are a few with "Joy Ride" in the title"

These movies are like prequels to the original movies from the 60's. The older movies were set in a distant future. I do think most reactors should watch the original movies at some point, but which first is really a personal choice.

I don't think humans in the real world are dumb enough to create a virus that would simultaneously destroy us and also make other apes smarter than us. There's a lot of unethical reasons as to why giving non-human apes the ability to speak and think like us is wrong. Besides, the humans in this film were so irresponsible when it came to working with the virus that it's no wonder it spread. I mean, they didn't even see Will steal multiple vials of the drug, which shows how lazy security is. Not to mention failing to properly restrain Koba, which would've prevented Franklin from getting infected. Humans in the real world would never be that disorganized.

I think the old ones are worth watching and this is coming from someone who hates 60s, 70s and 80s movies. I prefer the new Planet of the Apes movies but if you really want to enjoy these movies you should watch the old ones to catch all the references in the new remakes.
