I love how Canadians think dollar bills and pennies are so quaint. XD Actually, they got rid of them because they cost more to make and maintain than they are worth. This is true in America as well, but people are so hopped up on freedom here that the government just prefers to choose their battles and put "get rid of the penny" on the bottom of their to-do list, because God forbid the government take away our pennies!
