Hey I just bought the same printer. Best value for money purchase I have made. Making copies of music books that are more yellow than my liver and printing of more internet music than I am worthy of and for the fraction of the cost of my old inkjet that went out with the rubbish.
Dang good printer, I think. It surprises me with print quality and being able to automatically print front and back. I don't even have to turn it on or off. Looks to be toner will be cheap and will last a long time. Thanks, Peter. I love music, too. Stop by my channel some time. Rich
In the several years I've now had this printer it has been extremely worthy! Instructions were not the best but once you figure out everything it is super nice at making basic black and white copies, cheaply, quickly and great quality.

I've been super thrilled with my printer and use it every day. I purchased toner cartridges for it but after several months still printing on the one that came with it. You may have a bit of difficulty finding when to install the toner cartridge. Instructions aren't clear on how to open the machine up. I have a video on that which will help if you need it. What's great about these printers are that the laser cartridges can be bought for DIRT CHEAP - $20-$30 if you buy third party/remanufactured laser cartridges. That's how much those overpriced abominations that are ink cartridges cost, and these last so much longer. I've had my Brother printer for almost a year now and I can't be happier. I've saved so much money not having to buy ink cartridges and I don't have to wonder why my printer is wasting ink "cleaning" itself or wasting the color ink printing ONLY black and white. Congratulations on your printer sir. These randomly go on sale for the Renewed price too.
I feel like this printer prints copies for free. As you say, cartridges are very cheap ... but I'm still using the one that came with the printer! I use my printer every day and don't feel guilty about printing anything I want. I don't even have to turn the printer on or off! I can print on both sides of the page easy as pie! I just got this a month ago. I'm satisfied with it but the only drawback was the thought of never asking the guy if this prints LABELS. This model does not and I was disappointed. I always thought that was a "given".
I just got this printer today and it rocks! I was reluctant to stray from HP after using my Laser inkjet 4 for the last 17 years. The L2395DW has a slightly smaller footprint, holds more paper than most in its class and is clean and sleek, turns on/off automatically, the print diver loaded automatically and prints pretty fast! Have not tired wireless yet ad you'll have to supply your own USB cable. Love it and was long overdue. Office Depot delivered it free overnight!
I was all broken up when my Lexmark laser printer went belly up about a year ago. Boy, now I'm so glad! This printer is better in every way and prints for nothing as close as I can tell. Quiet. Comes on and shuts off automatically. Can print both sides of the page effortless (or not, if you prefer). I'm glad you like your, too, Karl. Rich
I liked your review. watching it did help me with the set-up. I don't think this printer had FAX capability. I just got it, and in the description on the box it doesn't say anything about FAX, but it does say you can scan and make copies. So far, I'm happy with this printer.
For me, this printer has put out many great copies every day for months. I'm still using the starter cartridge that came with it. I really love it and hope yours works for you. Rich
not all used or renewed are actually used sometiems it just means the packaging was damaged bad enough to be taken to reclaim to be looked at and considered to be able to resell or not. and they time you how fast you check items instead of how it actually works. just fyi.

It's 5:33 am. and just starting my day. Before I turned on my computer to check messages I was thinking this printer is the best printer in the world. I've had it several months now and I'm still using the toner cartridge that came with it. It prints quickly, quietly, on both sides of the page, without threat of drying out. Print cost seems practically free. I've purchase cartridges for low dollar but haven't needed yet. I hope you enjoy your printer as I have mine. Thanks for letting me know my video helped! Rich
Bought same printer brand new, worked great for a while until printing light so I bought new replacement toner cartridge and drum unit....still printed light so I ordered another toner cartridge, still printing light. Not sure what to do now but definitely I am losing faith in the Brothers brand.
HI Rich. do you know if the photo scanner on this machine is in color? I looked everywhere and could not find documentation or reviews on it. all the reviews mentioned a scanner but they never mentioned quality or type. Any help is appreciated. Stay safe brother
The printer doesn't print in color so I guess there's no point for color scanner. With this printer you give up color for low cost and quality B/W printing.
Where is tray 1 well i found it . It doesn't hold any paper it takes it on in prints . MY HL-L2395DW same as yours . I really do like Canon they ain't hateful with the customer as brothers are
I love this printer and despise my Canon color printer. Ink keeps drying out and very expensive to replace. Yes, you are pretty much on your own to figure out how to work this Brother printer but if you ask me a question I will answer it. This is a super printer if you want to make great, cheap black and white copies. As I said, I love this printer and use it every day. It's worthy, but you have to learn about it. Rich
Faxes go through telephone lines. This prints from Internet cloud services. So you can connect to internet which I don't do. I operate my printer directly from my computer.
@@michalgt7203 I would send an email pdf attachment if possible. This has been the easiest way for me to send something instantly that people can print up or store on their computer. It's easy to convert word file to pdf.
In that area where the toner cartridge goes, there was a little blue strip of plastic and I am having a lot of difficulty figuring out how to pull that out. Can you help me with that? 😄

This is what Amazon calls these items that are for sale at lower prices. I suppose most are just items that have been returned. My printer can in new condition.
I have not used the scan feature. If you are interested in specific applications you'll have to study the manual or experiment. I love this printer but cannot explain all the different ways to use it.
I don't like Brother, Why do you want a Laser Printer? I prefer an inkjet for the Photo printing capabilities. Brother will cost you in the long run, expensive consumables. I like HP for Lasers but I use a cheap Canon All in one. Have you ever used the foils with the laser printer you can print in one metallic color?
No, no, no Jody. I have a Canon Ink Jet that prints lovely color pictures but I need something that prints quality word processing documents, like sales letters. Ink jets dry out so frequently I'm forever buying new cartridges. You can't print decent letters on those things ... not by the hundreds. This Brother printer has very cheap toner cartridges that will print 3,000 sheets for about $14. Try that with your ink jet. I had a Brother fax machine I used regularly and it lasted forever. When you ask it to print, there should be an option to print both sides.

The green strip where it says brother, just pull out. Don't force, it should come out easily.
