As an Aussie you won’t be disappointed with that engine And yes we do have lpg over here but it ain’t our common type of fuel… our common fuel it’s petrol and diesel
You know its crazy cause you can feel the excitement in Evan's voice comes through makes me feel the excitement. I feel like this like the first Civic build, I loved that build its my second favorite build next to the Miata. I can't wait for the Mustang series to progress.
Did not expect to see a Barra going in the mustang. Its cool seeing our Aussie motors get imported over, but unfortunately no AU falcons in America yet.
My god brother i daily drove a 67 coupe for 4 years and the stock 289 gave out on me. Just now getting to a financial spot to put some money in the car, and this video is very tempting. My uncle recently gave me his 66 fastback so I’m prepared to go crazy on my 67. Wanted to do a 1 of 1 5.2 voodoo swap but those motors are like 15k. It’s either save up for that or go something else unique and seeing these motors and how tunable they are is very enticing.
I wanted to share this, because it really helped me. I ve seen somewhere on the internet post that was basicly saying: stop collecting all the knowledge and stop wondering about your problem and start actually fixing it. It came up to me again when you said start somewhere and i thought maybe there will be someone who will be in need to hear this, as i was.
Bro the excitement in her face is priceless.....I say later down the road make it a n.a T car not too crazy just for her to enjoy with those nice spooly noises
Super interested in this build. I have a 63 Ford falcon that I'm going to put a Barra in myself. The two chassis are very similar so I imagine parts and things will be the same as what I'll need.
Your daughter is adorable brother she is definitely your wife’s twin but definitely can tell she looks a lot like you as well, your daughter talking in the video was the cutest thing ever 🥰
Subbed for the build. Just an fyi, taxis in Australia made the gas barra popular as it was cheaper to run, they're also very popular with engine swaps as the gas barra came with beefier internals and higher compression so with a handful of mods you could make decent power without destroying the bottom end, and they're not hard to convert back to petrol. They were also cheaper then the Turbo Barra engines.
Deamm that advice fit me right away, im in the point like I don’t know what to do or where to go or what to chase in life 😢 like stuck in the middle of nothing. Working a boring ass job making no money not enjoying what im doing now is fucdd up 🆙
This is NOT the direction I thought this build was going. So hyped to see the build come to life. Love the recent content you've been genuinely making my day with each upload.
i am so happy to see this build i wanted to do the same swap in my 1966 mustang i had everything ready to do the swap suspension was converted to 4link en coilovers but for medical cost i had to sell it so i am stoked to see it done
The Barra. Both our utes have Barra engines. The LPG versions mainly came out of taxis. It was nothing for Barra taxis to do over a million kilometres. Often a lot more after the taxi companies sold them to private buyers.
Gray top….N/A stock, capable 450whp stock internals. Also change oil pump gears(weak point on all Barra). Can find GM trans adapters still, maybe not that company…but another company
The geezers you are talking about making mad is the very ones that you can get the most help from. These cars are simple so don't make it overly complicated. I'm not familiar with these engines but you might want to go with subframes connectors regardless of what you do. Hope it works out well for you.
I knew it!!!! I had replied to one of your fb stories asking if you were going to do a Barra swap on her mustang.. hell yeah hopefully I get to see it in person when it's done at a local car meet in the DFW
A nice T56 maybe magnum nice little 500 or 600 hp build since it’s for Victoria I can’t wait to see this! Ford 9 inch and alittle more low maybe some QA1 suspension stuff dope
@@th3master sure itll be an ok build but nothing crazy like they always talk about like its never been done or seen before come on ! Sure its cool but its not that cool !
Look in to the maier racing leaf springs brotha! I wish I went that way instead of my ridetech 4 link. You can do a mini tub kit to and squeeze a little more rubber in the rear with the stock body or have a little fun and widebody her lol. A ford 8.8 off an explorer would be awesome to you just need to narrow one side but you could get one with 4:10 gears and lsd from the junkers
Dominater motor sports in Australia maybe able to help you out on engine stuff; plazmaman for intercooler ,piping ,and plenum,,Walbro fuel pump ,standard fuel rail is fine, wouldn’t bother changing it,if you put a turbo on,it’s going to depend on how much power you gunna want at the rear tyres ,valve springs only be good for maybe 12 pound at best, over 14 pound head studs needed, and oil pump gears needed, probably best to do timing chain and guides, pity you could do rods and turbo pistons,Haltec computer to run it,though the standard turbo computer is good for 700 hp usually
NA they actually make decent power and torque due to long stroke. Thats also a grey top so factory NA and internals not as good as the turbo red top. Compression will be higher so be careful if turbocharging. Following with interest!
Looking forward to this build but do your research before you turbo or nos a na barra . The mustang and early Aussie falcons are a similar platform, maybe some pointers there.
there is plenty of NA ones which with the chassis set up will be fine, the length I doubt it will be much of an issue but the height of the block could be the issue
Why an N/A Barra instead of a turbo motor? Turbo motor you can just do oil pump gears, head studs and valve springs and make 500kw on stock bottom end.
Please do some proper modern suspension and a big brake kit. Your wife would appreciate the comfort and safety of a modern suspension kit for these cars. Just for safety This is coming from some who daily drives a classic car myself. People are crazy on these roads and you won’t regret the purchase
Hey Even I think if you looked into Toms 65 mustang from Toms Referb Channel you could get some cool ideas hes got custom shifter and Hydrolic clitch setup thats really cool would suit your build
As an Aussie I will not be missing a video on this build, so good to see you going this route
there our engines man they shouldnt leave our country
@GODLIKEZ490 we use their ls platform so fairs fair 🤷♂️
As an Australian, I strongly approve of this engine swap
fr that mad that they r barra swapping it
Evan and CboysTV are the only channels I don’t get tired of!
Same
Same bro
ongoodness
Facts !!
felt
Search up Tuff Mounts. They have engine mounts / transmissions brackets already made for these mustangs for barra swaps
As an Aussie you won’t be disappointed with that engine
And yes we do have lpg over here but it ain’t our common type of fuel… our common fuel it’s petrol and diesel
Evan is helping a lot right now im struggling with really bad depression and watching his vids is helping with all the quotes he says thanks Evan
Your wife going to love the Barra very reliable motor and cheap to maintain. You can get over 1 million km out of a barra before a rebuild needed
Gabby is the most adorable kid alive. Love you guys so much fun watching you guys been here since day one
Good on ya I cannot wait to see the build, it's good to see a humble build. I'll be watching 👍🇭🇲
I am here for the Barra for sure. I was hoping this would happen.
Look into doing a mustang 2 front end, cheap and a great route. Get rid of the leaf spring suspension in the rear if you can.
You know its crazy cause you can feel the excitement in Evan's voice comes through makes me feel the excitement. I feel like this like the first Civic build, I loved that build its my second favorite build next to the Miata. I can't wait for the Mustang series to progress.
Not gonna lie didn’t expect this insane engine 😂
Did not expect to see a Barra going in the mustang. Its cool seeing our Aussie motors get imported over, but unfortunately no AU falcons in America yet.
BARRA BABY WELCOME TO THE FAM EVAN

Barra swap the son of a b
Love barra swaps... despite the harmonic balancing issues that plague putting it into anything it didnt come out of

Oooo a Mustang restomod? Yes please!
Also so stoked you choose a Barra. Been researching them a lot lately and they seem to be god tier engines :)
Your daughter is adorable brother she is definitely your wife’s twin but definitely can tell she looks a lot like you as well, your daughter talking in the video was the cutest thing ever 🥰
As an aussie ide highly suggest not keeping it N/A and just send a turbo onto it
Great barra pick

Looking forward to seeing more work done on this. Its going to be wild
you know the turbo barra is the red block stronger pistons rods hope u got the proper ecu
This is NOT the direction I thought this build was going. So hyped to see the build come to life. Love the recent content you've been genuinely making my day with each upload.
Sick build man gonna be awesome, I’m putting a barra in my 86 svo, gonna be sick!
The advice is always great, took a leap of faith today to push myself into the direction I want to head in life
Also STOKED FOR THE BUILD
Great advice.!😊👍🏻 Gotta start somewhere.🙌🏻 Thank you for advice. 🙏🏻
May be a jeep that i got but 4.0 i6 is an amazing setup lots of reliable fun
Great engine... My car has one.. They are like flies here in Australia...
i am so happy to see this build i wanted to do the same swap in my 1966 mustang i had everything ready to do the swap suspension was converted to 4link en coilovers but for medical cost i had to sell it so i am stoked to see it done
Soon as you said "straight 6" I KNEEEEW it! omg so happy to see this build goin!!

Barra! Wooh!
Okay not a bad swap fab would be awesome to watch ❤
Patiently waiting for the update 🥲
Imagine the swap with a Roadster Shop Chassis upgrade, can't wait to see it running tho, hard between this and Devins FK8
Really need to look into QA1 for rear and front suspension conversions. It will completely modernize the suspension side of the car
Wait this is sick, keeping the in-line 6 “heritage” while also being a ford motor. Not to mention the barra sounds insane
Thanks Evan really needed to hear that advice
Gray top….N/A stock, capable 450whp stock internals. Also change oil pump gears(weak point on all Barra). Can find GM trans adapters still, maybe not that company…but another company

Pumped for this build. Let’s go!
Evan I’m from Australia so trust me get pacemaker extractors trust me it will make it sound so good when it’s running
God this is exactly what I want to do with my 65. Been looking into it for almost 10 years and have had paralysis by analysis.
I’ve been waiting a lot of years for you to hit 1 million subs
This is going to be a crazy build
A nice T56 maybe magnum nice little 500 or 600 hp build since it’s for Victoria I can’t wait to see this! Ford 9 inch and alittle more low maybe some QA1 suspension stuff dope
Ahhh heck yah another barra I have a 68 mustang that I want to do the same too. Get it!!!! awesome videos btw.
Holy sh*t i guessed the engine!
I said it would be cool to have a Barra turbo engine on the Mustang! Amazing hehe :D
Knew it was a Barra when he was talking about a CRAZY BUILD but truthfully who cares like he said its nothing new good engine but not CRAZY !!!
@@shannacollins4741 I think it's an amazing idea and a engine ytou dont see everyday hehe can't wait to see the build done
@@th3master sure itll be an ok build but nothing crazy like they always talk about like its never been done or seen before come on ! Sure its cool but its not that cool !

The swap I've been WANTING FOR🔥😤😤
Def gonna follow this build, I wanna put a Barra in mine too.

I loved the daily advice, thanks
this and adam’s barra mustang gotta meet when it’s done
You can get ford either t56 or tr6060 out of the falcons just rare as so good you got the adapter
Barra the wrold
Another Aussie here, big thumbs up.
Look into QA1 suspension
Sick seeing an Aussie engine in America and glad you pronounce Barra correctly 😂✊
Yeah it's gay they belong in Australian falcons but going in everything
that adapter is fabbot, I'm pretty sure they would have done it for you if necessary, they are still in business, Rudnik has a collab with them.
You had my curiosity, now you have my attention 🤣🤣
This next to adam lz's gt350 would be sick
Looking forward to this build but do your research before you turbo or nos a na barra .

there is plenty of NA ones which with the chassis set up will be fine, the length I doubt it will be much of an issue but the height of the block could be the issue
oil pump and oil pump gears are a must change
Okay okay I see you 😮 good choice to put a Barra in the classic Ford this will be fire 🔥
the early single cam pre au is just called a sohc but the au motor is an intech
Gabby's "ooo an engine" needs to be a meme
Being a silver top, you wont make decent power without rods and pistons, you can get a bit but you NEED valve springs at least. And e85
For sure got to get reactions at some car meets when this is done!
Castlemaine Rod Shop does all the conversion kits in Australia Victoria
You could try swapping the suspension from newer mustangs, like sn95 or the s550
Do what tj did and get the different frame with more modern suspension
Open tracker racing makes great suspension for the cars for a good price.
Thanks for saying Aussie the right way
do a ford 8.8 rear end swap to help modernize it a bit plus till help hold a bit of power!!
Evan you probably can't put wider rims on these leaf springs so small turbo setup for like 350/400hp would be best
Pretty sure fella was taking about doing coils or something
id look into getting some dakota digital gauges for it also keeps the retro look they are super clean
Gotta love seeing a new video! Glad the contents been rolling Evan, God bless!
Just do a factory xr6 turbo set up stock engine 300hp
I hope you’ll prioritize making it a safe ride over a fast ride. If you can get it up to speed, you should be able to stop it too.
Just for safety
This is coming from some who daily drives a classic car myself. People are crazy on these roads and you won’t regret the purchase
9 inch ii heavy and 8.8 is a good option
Much love from nz this one is fire my guys
Good luck guys cat wait too see the journey of the mustard
Hey Even I think if you looked into Toms 65 mustang from Toms Referb Channel you could get some cool ideas hes got custom shifter and Hydrolic clitch setup thats really cool would suit your build
I absolutely love this ❤
Would recommend dry ice blast the underside of the '65.
Put a Plasmaman Front Facing Intake. Adam LZ got the plug
Evan, adam, and anyone else who imported a barra to the us has single handedly doubled the cost of barras for the aus market
Evan make it a Turbo barra
