I bought a 2012 Azera Limited back in 2016. I baby it and it still runs and looks great. Zero problems from the car since I've had it. Only 91k miles on it, as of right now. Mines white exterior with a tan interior. Has all the bells and whistles of a premium luxury car, but not the price. Everyone that rides with me loves it. I have found out AGM batteries are worth their price with these cars. But I still adore this car as if I just bought it. Also, the fact you don't see many on the road makes it more of a treat to see one.

I've got to give Hyundai/Kia some credit! They've REALLY come around within the past couple of years. 10 years ago I would have never considered buying either of those brands. The cars used to look like crap, especially the Sonata! But now, the Azera, Sonata, Elantra, Optima, Forte, Cadenza, K900, Genesis, Tucson, Santa Fe, Sorento, I love them all.
How have I not seen this review?!? I've liked this generation Azera the most. An affordable luxury car from a good brand. Hyundai got this one done right and you can tell that this was only the start of changing their design language. Great review as always, Kyle (even if the video is six years old).
And to think 10 years ago I wouldn't consider buying a Hyundai or Kia. I considered their cars a joke. But now, man I admire just about all of their vehicles. They've really come around these past couple of years. I love the company's design language on their models. But I got to give a shout out to the 2016 Kia Optima. Man that car is beautiful, especially in black!
He didn't mention 2 other features. It has a "refrigerated" glove box and behind the ac controls is another storage area with a 12v plug. Just more to love about this great car
I bought this car over a lexus and I'm not sad about it. I haven't had any issues with this vehicle. I've driven it for all of our family vacations. 31 mpg. It doesn't lack power. Comfortable and spacious interior. The only thing I would want is a stiffer suspension. I know it's not a sports sedan but I would like the suspension a little stiffer. I'm happy with the Azera.
This is the overlooked and mostly forgotten Hyundai between the Sonata and Genesis. Nice car but at its price point, I would just dig deeper and go with the Genesis.
BCJDM yea but the base gen is only a "little more expensive" It doesn't have much in it. If you get the luxury class Genesis your going to pay close to 50k. So if you want a base gen that doesn't have much then sure. If you want a car loaded then you get the azera unless you want to pay 10k more for the loaded gen.
beebop shopbop I would say if you wanted a Genesis get everything but the Ultimate Pack... Having the Ultimate pack is nice but not necessary to have what most luxury cars have (Especially for 45-48k depending on AWD). My local dealer has all Genesis $4,500 off!! Plus the other incentives like Military, College, and Boost up. I qualify currently for a total of $6,000 off if I were to buy one now... Not to mention they have their "Lot Rock" (Equus) over $16,500 off! making it $45k
that is why Hyundai won't be bringing the all-new Azera to US to avoid competition with the Genesis G70. I hope they modify the new Azera and add it to their line-up in Genesis as a FWD vehicle different from G70 which will be a sporty RWD, so it will possibly compete with Lexus ES.
The genesis is nicer, however it's a lot bigger of a car. I've thought about getting one used considering they are now similar in price for the used market. For me, a genesis is just too big and has a lot more gizmos to fix when they go wrong. I feel the azera is an underrated value for the dollar
I researched and shopped for an Avalon, Lexus ES and Acura TL for 3 months before buying this Azera. I'm so glad I did. It's much cheaper with less miles and more features than all the above and IMO looks better. It's Oct 2021. Mine is a 2014 with only 31k miles. It's been very well maintained with only one owner and I absolutely love it. All the luxury, styling, very smooth ride, quiet engine and great features. Panoramic roof. Heated cooled seats. Rear heated seats. Large interior. Ambient lighting. Really cool headlights. Nav included. Large Touch screen. (Those dumb knobs and mouse styles suck to use) . Soft leather. Great sounds system and much more. 2 things I dislike. Why this did not use the available blind side detection and Lane departure warning safety feature that you can get in many Hyundai's the same year is just dumb. And your dash does not display your speed digitally. But, Otherwise I love every single thing about it. Very happy with my choice because there's so much more to love about it than hate and I get many compliments.

This is what a 2011 Sonata might have been if Hyundai continued on with a V6 trim. I feel the 3.3L V6 is a bit small for the much heavier Azera. But, it's perfect (and always have been) for the Sonata. Now that I'm looking for a direct replacement for my 2006 Sonata 3.3L V6 (203k miles), I have to look elsewhere. Don't want a turbo 4. Don't want a CVT. Right now, the 2018 V6 Camry is the most obvious choice. Still, as an alternative, I'm tempted to try Carvana and find a low-mileage 2016 Azera. The lower resale value of Hyundai cars certainly works to my advantage. Actually, I just looked at Carvana and buyers are snapping up all the low-mileage Azeras. Two weeks ago, there was a bunch of them. Now, there's just 4 and all of them have "puchase pending."
