I got it. It’s a little tall once sitting down and have to have a wooden step at the end for my feet to rest on. If I don’t my tippy toes touch the floor making a workout uncomfortable.
      Otherwise an excellent bench.

Nice unit, however you can’t put it against the wall if your limited on space. Most lat pull down machines - if not all - have all exercises that can be performed from one side...not with the Ironmaster. Being able to perform all exercises from one side of the unit really makes It convenient. Again, it also allows you to get it close to the wall aside from the 45lb plates. Having to turn the machine around if need be really isn’t appealing. It does seem to be, however a solid unit and with wheels: should you have to move it; does make it much more easily to relocate.

    • @IronmasterPro
      @IronmasterPro  4 года назад +6

Thanks for your comment. The Cable Tower is designed to be easy to move. Most lat pull machines - nearly all - are not. Our design philosophy is different. You can move it around to help suit a very small workout space and it is quite easy to rotate if needed.

You’re welcome. I still believe it’s a solid piece of equipment. I did view Lee Priest video using the system. One thing I did forget to mention in my little comment, was that you did add that small seat attachment, which I do believe makes it more functional. I think anyone who does purchase this would be getting a very nice lat pulldown machine. The jury is just out for me… For now

I believe you, it's a real bench. Probably had a helping hand, nothing wrong with that. GOOD QUALITY BENCH
Unfortunately you guys stopped making the mini super bench =/. I think that one had a smaller height in the flat position. It's my only caveat with the super bench. Perfect for everything else. Except the flat position

Candi Soda The solution I would do is switch out the seat for the hybrid pad and use the calf block at your feet. It’s the best solution for smaller people.

With the cable tower attached to the super bench, how is the preacher curl attachment being used here? 1:34 Is it a separate bench being made to misleadingly 'look like' the cable tower and preacher curl pad can be used on the same super bench. After all Iron Master says it is essential for the Cable tower to be attached to the Super Bench when in use. ALARM BELLS HERE.
The detachable seat on the super bench is not practical for incline bench press, the way it sticks up in the air is unnatural and impossible to sit on, I find it a con and poor design, it doesn't come with wheels and needs wheels. The preacher pad doesn't allow the ez-bar or any other bar to be rested on the bar rest after use --- because it's UNDER the pad and too close.
The super bench and accessories have been a very poor buy to date, I have the crunch attachment, the leg curl attachment (leg curls are impossible so it's only a leg extension attachment) and I have the preacher curl pad (see above about the bar rest - I have to balance the bar on top of the pad between sets). It has cost me £478
You'll have to pay another £80+ for this bar 1:15
The foot plate used at 1:17 is an additional £53
You don't get this attachment either 1:44 - will also cost an additional £50.
The only accessory which comes with it is this bar 0:47
I've just found out you have to buy an additional dockable curl support (£43) so that your £77 Preacher attachment can fit on the cable tower - so that ansers my question at the beginning.
By the time you buy everything you may as well have bought a home Gym. What I've paid so far and how much of it is usable is a joke .... and like I said, the bench MUST have wheels if you want to move it around a lot.

      1. The cable attachment is not mainly for benching. It is mainly for lat pulldowns, shoulder, bicep, tricep exercises, and rows and a few other exercises. If you're trying to do incline bench presses or decline presses then that's not really what it's for. You will need a bench set, power rack, or smith machine for that.
      2. It's actually a very good price compared to other decent products on the markets that are similar which also work the lats, etc. Much cheaper, so when you factor that in it's a worthy trade-off to maybe having to buy a few extra parts. The warranty is also unbeatable and the bench itself is a very high quality bench that sells by itself and has very good independent reviews on Amazon and other websites (not just their own website). The cable system is very durable and smooth as well.
      3. This is not meant to be a full home gym, so if you bought a home gym for this price it's most likely cheap garbage or something serious lifters cannot use.
      4. They sell wheels for the bench on their website which are fairly inexpensive. The bench isn't very heavy to begin with, unless you're a small female, very old person, have physical problems (such as back problems), or just very weak and out of shape.
Ideally, if one wants a good home gym, this cable attachment can be a great addition to supplement or add to the home gym, making up for a significant number of the exercises needed for a gym. However, to complete the home gym one would need to have a power rack, half rack, or smith machine and maybe some dumbbells to complete it. I have a this system and a power rack at my home gym and that is all I need to do all of the exercises needed as a serious lifter. I do all my main compound lifts in my power rack with the barbell (squats, shoulder press, bench press, incline and decline bench press, bent over rows, etc.) and do my secondary exercises with the cable attachment and dumbbells (lat pull down, leg extensions, triceps, biceps, cable rows, etc.).

NO MA'AM actually it’s not bad at all. I have had mine for 11 years but his observation wasn’t far off. If the bench was pointed to parrarel to the floor you would slip off. Also the design makes it super easy to switch exercises quickly. I wish they had a showroom in major cities or at least made it out to the fit expo so everyone can experience them in person. Best money I ever spent

I’ve done dumbbell incline presses on the bench several times over the last 3 years and never had a problem with the bench. I’m also surprised at the criticism that you can’t do leg curls with the attachment; I’ve done it before. I move the bench around all the time without issues. Some of these criticisms surprise me.
