    Some minor updates per questions in the comment section. You likely could load off brand DBs (I just tried my Snode's) if the diameter of the handle isn't too large. However, you obviously have to respect they are not designed for them as a warning. I also was able to simply load about 75lbs worth of Ironmaster plates on each rail (total 150lb). So while the weight capacity decreases, you can load weights faster. Also heard word that Ironmaster expects some inventory to sell out, so if you want to load the cart ahead of time (and still support the channel by hitting it now www.ironmaster.com/291.html) you could be ready to go come Friday morning for their BF Sale. Let me know if you have any questions and appreciate you all.

    I bought this last black friday (32 percent off when bundled) when i was building out my gym. At the time, i was limited on space so having it on wheels was a major selling point, and with the black friday pricing it was a steal. Eventually, i bought the seat and set it up as a plate loaded station. It really is very smooth and stable. The disadvantage for that setup is that the high and low pulls are on opposite sides and i have it against the wall. With that, the high pull is only good for lat pulldowns, but i have bells' towers tricep pushdowns and such.
    Thanks for the review. There arent enough on youtube vids covering this product, and it really is something unique.

    This is one of the only reviews on the cable tower. I actually just purchased it on their Black Friday sale along with the leg attachment. If you are limited in space, this is the way to go. I did a lot of research before purchasing this cable tower. It’s the only cable pulley system that has a less than 2x2 ft foot print but can also be maneuvered in and out of position. Thanks for the review. You helped validate my purchase 👍🏼

    Great review! I own this same tower along with the bench, seat, and the dumbbells, along with other several other ironmaster products. But I use the Olympic plate adapters and I don't use dumbbells on the tower. Plates are very fast to change out and you can easily strip down 2.5, 5, and 10lb plates, etc, when you want to drop set. I also highly recommend the seat to save on space when using the tower and it gives you more standing room for your legs when using the high pulley for tricep push downs. The only negative I have is the quality of the lat pulldown bar. The rubber grips on the ends are a bit loose and tend to slide and rotate during the exercise. Instead, I use a Rep Fitness stainless steel lat pulldown bar with nice feeling knurling. But for the price of the tower, a nicer bar should already be included.

    I’ve been watching the Ironmaster stuff since I saw your video on the Bench. While I didn’t get the tower this time, I did use your affiliate link and their Black Friday sale to get the bench, dip bars, and pull up bar attachment.
    I’m not 100% sure about the dumbbells yet. I watched a review of the Rep x Peppin dumbbells that are around $1k, and I’m truly undecided between this and the Iron Master set, with purchasing up to similar weight (I thing the “reppins”, as I heard them referred to, are about 130lbs). For now I’ll use my old 65lb Bowflex set, as I have not yet outgrown them. They are the old square set that have this useless digital rep counter on them, but then dumbbells are themselves are fine for me at my current level.
    Anyway, thanks for all the reviews! You’ve helped me make some more informed product decisions over the last couple years, particular in gym equipment that is great for small apartment spaces. Thanks for doing the work!

    This video came at the perfect time. I've currently got the ironmaster dumbbells and considering picking this up during black friday along with the seat attachment. Wouldn't it be quicker to load the plates directly on the sleeves horizontally rather than putting them on the dumbbells and then loading the dumbbells onto the tower?

      Happy it was helpful. Great point, but I think the advantage is the amount of weight you can add vertically would be larger. I don't have the IM dumbbells but I am planning on buying the bench and some accessories this BF. I've been trying to decide between this attachment using plates and the Torque Anker 7 which would fit really well in my room, allow quicker weight changes but cost quite a bit more.

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Месяц назад

      I think the big plus with this that I addressed in the video, is the portability of the cable set up. No question using a pin is a much easier process, but the tradeoff is that it's set up that's not moving anytime soon.

      @@hybridresistance This does have the true lat bar setup so that's definitely a positive over the two tower functional trainers. Everything that actually makes this functional you also have to buy. So after you pay $600 you gonna have to put out close to $1000 total to even use it. That’s crazy to me.
