Hello Mr.Floberg, been an admirer of your work and channel both! I just love the fact that I am not intimidated by what I don't have every time I watch your video! I love that about you! I am currently on Panasonic lineup. I own Panasonic S5ii, Panasonic S5iix, Panasonic 20-60mm f3.5-5.6, Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, Sigma 85mm f1.4 , Godox V1-O, 2xGodox TT685-O, as my primary gears. Although I have stupidly spent over a grand making a cinema rig instead of buying lighting gear, I still consider and like to be considered as Photographer primarily as I barely make any videos. My question is would you change anything in my setup for any type of wedding/events/portraits scenarios? Would you recommend changing anything or adding wide lens? I have always been held back by the thought of not having enough gear or second camera. With my recent purchase of S5iix, I am almost broke but feel extremely motivated to quick start my wedding photography.
Thanks, feels like this is more of a unique setup, really interesting! I started watching basically all of your running videos last weekend as I started my own running training and video series for my first attempt at a longer run in April next year. I would be really interested in the equipment and process you use for filming the running channel. Maybe as an episode of Rally Caps with Cyrus as a guest. I am currently looking into getting smaller cameras to take with me on each run like the insta360 go3, osmo action 4 or osmo pocket 3 but have not yet found the best solution for me without buying all of them.
for the instax, take any speedlight and set it on S1 sync and forget about dark instax pictures. The built in flash is extremely weak for anything +2m away
Hey Eric! Love your videos + Rally Caps! You mentioned your filming in Maine soon - I live in Kennebunk, Maine right on the seacoast sort of near Portland, essentially southern Maine. Let me know if you need any local tips (unless you're going to Acadia lol I've only been once)!
This came at the perfect time. Im shooting hybrid in 2 weeks. R6 + 15-35 with v-mount and ninja v for video, R6ii +85 for tight shots and R5 + 28-70 as my main with 600EX-RT. This is what I think will work but any advice on changing it up, Im all ears. This is my first solo wedding shoot. I also have my 70-200 but seeing that it’s mostly indoors, I don’t think I will need it. What do you think? Thanks again for always providing valuable content.
Interesting when I see people don’t need the 70-200 for weddings. How are you shooting the speeches? How you getting those vows for ceremony. I feel like 2-3 of these is a must.
Hey Eric, could you make a video (or Rallycaps episode?) about your decision to move to Squarespace? I just saw you made a completely new website and I'd be really interested in your thoughts on presenting the various branches of your business on a single website, using Squarespace (as opposed to Wordpress or hiring an agency) and how you do SEO in Squarespace. Would love that! =)
Nice, man. Are you carrying the Leica in the clever supply sling for daily life or have any recommendations? I have it, I just find it a little large day to day stuff.
I own and use 2 x C70 cameras, a R5C and an R3. My dream is to get the c400 (as A-cam) + R1 (as B-Cam) both with c-log 2 and 24 and 26 MP sensor.. (same sharpness.. ish) + RF 15-35 f.2.8 and the RF 24-105 F2.8 But yeah... its not a DGO sensor.. and new is not always better in every way. But then again it would solve the issue of having 4 cameras and a shitload of primes to log around all the time in the bag...
Low light doesn't get better because of the lower megapixel count. the sensor size is the same. The light per pixel is higher in lower megapixel cameras but the sensor get the same amount of light... Don't confuse ppl please
I haven’t started this yet but I have a feeling Eric is going to be making me want to buy something today… ugh, ok time to hit play!
haha!
guysssss. loop earplugs are the best! so good for wedding dance floors
Love that you make a gear video pleasing to watch with such care to the background and presentation, and of course all of the colors
thank you! R5 all the way!

Earplugs are underrated. Everyone doing photo/video should have them for receptions.
Thank you 🙏

Cool vid, but where do did you get the minimalist/retro movie posters from!?!
I’ve found a few similar on Etsy, but not quite the same!
Tremendous tips, thanks Eric!
Thanks for watching!
Making me feel good about being a fellow R5 shooter ☺️
The RF 50 1.2 is an all-around beast. For sure.
The best

Eric upload a video... usually means stoping everything I'm doing and go watch it! lol
Great inside of your work!
The sony mic clipped to your hat is an elite play haha

You're welcome!
Great video! You only do wedding photography? No videos for weddings?
Earplugs are key 😂 They live in my bag

I keep it on the short strap all the time, usually on my chest as I'm out and about. Otherwise, just set it down in safe spots.
@@EricFloberg Thanks! I appreciate it!
when is the video version of this coming out :)
What camera bags do you have?

I shoot about 50 to 70 weddings a year-and I'm not cheap. It's a work of love or you wiont make it only for the money.
Sony>
omg
what a disrespect to Sony, not even in this list is madness. I love your content but you hit a nerve today damn.
?? 😂 I said in the beginning I’ve never used Sony for photo, so I can’t speak on it. They make amazing cameras
