It’s super exciting when the birds show up before you expect them😂. Great Returns and more good Results 2 in the top 10% is a great day. Congratulations on your Win last race You’re having a great season keep it up 👍
Good race, the birds are doing good. Loved seeing a few of them land like airplane ✈️ Good luck on the next one. How many more you have and their distances?
.... Nice! You only missed 1st by 3 mins.. The birds fly on avg 50 mph not 40 (depending on the wind, if any) .. so, that is the speed you are supposed to use to calculate the approx time they should be getting back. At 50 mph average and you being 207 mi. from the release point, it should take your first birds around 4 hrs 10 minutes roughly, not 5 hrs. That is if all goes well on the trip back home.. Flying 50 miles in 1 hr x 4 hrs = 200 miles..
@@cavenderloft .. You're welcome.. Yes, that is the avg used for racing birds.. 50 mph. Calculate that in and you should be able to be out there at least 30 min or so before they are supposed to maybe show up. 40 mph was waaay off.. 🙂
Great race for you hope the 12th bird came home . 🇬🇧👍
As of 5pm it wasn't home, I'll check when I get home from work tonight.

Well done! It seems you had a fast race too. We had a very fast 200-mile race in CJC yesterday. The top speed was 1898. Crazy!
Yes that cross wind actually helped them...did you noticed my 8th place bird was my White Grizzle?
@@cavenderloft I just did😅. Good job👍

Thanks for the information I'll have to start using 50mph formula this is the second race where I missed the first birds.

Don’t worry. Last weekend I used Kevin’s math and got out there early and didn’t see my first bird until 4 hours later. Lol
@@DanzaLoft Lol
@@DanzaLoft .. You would have been out there anyway.. Who you fooling? LMAO. Those calculations don't work for a SMASH race.. hahaha
