wow..dal vivo..bella musica nello stile del bel canto, eseguita in maniera mirabile...Gulli sicuramente uno dei più grandi violinisti italiani del xx secolo..
Nicolo Paganini , absolutely my favorite violincomposer. I love every work. Like the performance from Gulli. Roughly as good as genius Salvatore Accardo. Love you for all you do!
Forgive me if I disagree. One only needs to compare the first half minute of Gulli's playing in the first movement with.Accado's account (the London Phil & Dutoit). There is simply no comparison, in terms of clarity, presence and intensity. Gulli, like Michelangeli and Toscanini are three-dimensional musicians in a class of their own. The italianità, indefinable but instantly recognisable in great italian musicians, is unique to the finest Italians. It sears through their playing, radiates their melodies, fills every bar, in all tempi, all dynamics. It is incomprehensible to me that Gulli is denied the internationally acclaimed status of one of the greatest violinists of all time. Total nobility, total subsuming of the music, almost pleading with the audience to listen with their ears and not their eyes. The same remarkable characteristics as demonstrated by ABM. The difference between these two is a certain attitude towards the public. Neither plays for the public, but for a higher source of inspiration: whereas ABM shuts out his public, aloof to the point of patent disinterest, Gulli shuts out his public, innocently, like a deeply preoccupied child. For both, in performance, nothing else seems to exist, neither the public, neither their own egos. In the music, it is the same with Toscanini. (Child-like innocence, disinterest or tantrums are absolutely unimportant when LISTENING to their results.) Every music student should learn the difference of approach between great Italian musicians, great German musicians and great Russian musician, to name but three national schools. AND THEN each student should spend years discovering what feeds those national music differences. When the have got their heads around those differences, they might have advanced their own appreciation of music, appreciably.
Non c' è certo bisogno di me per constatare che già da sola questa formidabile registrazione porrebbe Franco Gulli sul trono debito ad un sovrano del violino .
The premiere was in 1959, Gulli and Orchestra Da Camera Dell'Angelicum with Luciano Rosada as conductor. Mario Rossi as conductor appears in this recording, so ... no, it's not the premiere.
Un incontournable 🙏 FANTASTIQUE ❣️ Que dire de plus ? Un enchantement 💓🎶❤️🎶 ✨✨
Supremo violinista. Supremo direttore d’orchestra.

Grazie per questo capolavoro! Sono fiero di essere un italiano all'estero! Cari saluti dalla Patagonia, Argentina!
