Was going to a make the assertion that post-season games tend to be more low scoring and pitching oriented. The AL Game 1's today seemed to substantiate this theory, but the Mets certainly proved me wrong. Moreover, since MLB implemented the two out of three wild card series back in 2022, every single team who prevailed in the first game has gone on to win the series. In fact, the only team to win a game two and avoid a sweep was the 2022 Mets, who went to lose game three against the Padres. So if the trend continues, the greater probability of winning lies with the teams who were victorious today.

Most talking heads have been very disingenuous. Mets fans with an exhausted bullpen were thinking Severino should be out of the game, yet Milwaukee with a superb and rested bullpen AND a 1 run lead should have stayed with Peralta? In hindsight pulling Peralta was a bad move, but I am seeing so many call the move stupid or abysmal and they want Pat Murphy crucified.
