I want to see more 1st gen tundras plz!👊🏽Along with other overland rigs.. I've been working on my 02 for two years. 246k miles. IMO, they are real gems...
I have a 01’ Tundra AC and this is literally my dream for my truck! I’m in the RTT stage right now. If I can save another 30-40k I can have this setup!😏 damn 4wheel campers are crazy money!! Great video, thanks for featuring a first Gen Tundra overlander!!🙌🏼
Great job on the rig. I've owned a 2002 Tundra limited since new... 200K+ with the original All Terrain camper. The guys from All Terrain were the original build guys at Four Wheel. You've done a great job with your truck. Keep it up and enjoy the times. I've had two FJ40's also... the Tundra wheels off road as well as they did... I just need to be more careful. Tundras are the perfect truck for off-road. Powerful, not too big and solid. Take care.
Sounds like the greatest job on earth!!Overlanding,, documenting, testing and exploring different places and utilizing different specs to optimize each situation!HEAVEN ON EARTH!!GOTTA FIGURE A WAY TO LIVE THE LIFE I DREAM OF DAILY AND BE ABLE TO GENERATE A SUSTAINABLE INCOME.ANY IDEAS?????
Need to see more overlanding rigs. Currently building my 03 taco. Supercharger, kings on all 4 corners, total chaos uppers, deaver leaf pack, MT wheels, General M/T's. Armor soon to come.
Heck yea love it, more of what I have / do as well. I think featuring more build like lances and Tacoma builds that are LT trucks with camper and with out. Also love to see some Trx stuff!
No aftermarket support for 1 Gen Tundra, but shows us the King coilovers and total chaos upper control arms, Deavers etc... Btw I had a 2002 4.7 4x4 With King coilovers and Fox rears, Downey Headers, TRD supercharged
Little to none compared to other platforms. Seems like you need to pay to play with a 1st gen. But I think the company's that do offer are great for keeping the longevity of this platform. I have an 05 DC and 02 AC both with the standards.
i moved to eastern washington from socal. would love to see you guys up here i brought my 99 f150 with dixon built front and rear set up. hope to see you guys here and find more folks in the pnw to prerun with!
I have a similar goal for this with my tundra, but sadly mines only RWD and i don't wanna sell it to buy a 4wd one, so now I've hit the dilemma of choosing whether i want to fork out the time and cash to convert it to 4wd or just stick with what i got and limit on what she can do.
Hell yeah! I just got me a '02 TRD SR5 and I'm wanting to turn it into a super capable wood/recovery rig... But I'm also in the Sierras and love hooning the back roads. I've been trying to decide what to do about the suspension. I was thinking of running a custom deaver pack with airbags. Where can I find more details on this setup? Has he done the Cambirg long travel up front yet?
Very cool few people can do what you guys do and enjoy the landscape. More people should just make time to do what you are doing to travel the landscape of the country instead of sitting at home watching the boob tube. Very sweet and choice to be mobile self-contained and off the grid if you want to be.
Yo James is you’re ever on the East coast I’d love to show you my 01 Sonoma on full-size ford axles. Currently in the process of building an exo cage for it
Going to low on psi will cause the middle of the tire to lift off the ground ND you end up just riding on the shoulders. Air down and spray tire with water roll it and you will see. Keep doing that till you fine the flat psi
This thing is dialed in. I plan to get some lockers possibly ARB. I got the first gen Sequoia bone stock. Thinking I want to save up for the king shocks to do it right??
I should've just searched. www.tundras.com/threads/2000-2006-tundra-big-brake-upgrade-kit-14wa-calipers.61231/ Unfortunately you need 17 in rims. I like my 16s so no go for me.
Literally what I wanted to build, nobody wanted to help me purchase a truck last year because I felt the prices land cruisers and trucks would raise. Moved and changed jobs so I was cash strapped, sucks that I was right. Either going to wait OR settle for a 96ish chevy/gmc or 10th gen f150. Pissed since the LX450 i found back then were CHEAP and nobody ever listens to me like with crypto and stocks lol.
"So Sick Dude." "That is insane cool bro." "Like such a Sick Setup." "Oh that's so sweet, right on." I watched this because I also have a 2000 Tundra but listening to this guy (the host) was painful. 20 minutes of such a phony sounding "Dude" persona. So there's my review, you're welcome.
yeah, im down to see more overlanding rigs.
1st gen Tundra! Solely my opinion, is the best vehicle ever made.
Not an opinion. Just facts 🙂
You guys are making the aftermarket value of my first gen go up. Thank you
smh
I came for prerunners but I'm staying for variety of offroad rigs. Keep it up. This channel is dope.
I want to see more 1st gen tundras plz!👊🏽Along with other overland rigs..
I've been working on my 02 for two years.
246k miles.
IMO, they are real gems...
My 06 1st gen Tundra was my favorite truck ever. I have a 3rd gen now but miss my 1st gen.
I just got one, man is it reliable
has some rust on the frame though
2000 TRD Off-Road with 240,000 miles and still strong. Great truck built to last.
Petition for more 1st gen tundra aftermarket support
Me 2
Super nice camper, these 4.7’s sound great with an exhaust too.
This deserves more attention and likes!
Dude Lance is the man!! 🤘🏻
Digging the variety of off-roading. Rock crawlers, overland rigs, pre runners!
At Archive Garage, we have full rear suspension for these great 1G Tundras, HD leaf springs, Hammer hangers, U-bolt flip, 12" shock relocation!
I have been watching your products for years now. Seeing products advance and grow is rad. Need to start purchasing for my 1st Gen.
@@jamesvandyke5874 Thank you!

Thanks for the video. Definitely want to see more of a variety of everything between pre-runner go fast, to overlanding rigs. So thank you!
I want one.. those campers are like $20k tho

I love my first gen tundra 2002 SR5 v8
Dude counter activated
I loved this, overland rigs are sick I’d like to see more
I love the build. I noticed you guys don't have almost any videos on Chevrolet Colorado Prerunners. Might build one for my first truck.
Actually I think they did a Colorado. It was a full tube chassis truck if I remember correctly
Killer video and walk around,,very Detailed walk around and love the contact we need more overland build videos
1st gen Tundra might be the best truck EVER. I would trade my 2015 Tacoma for one.
Having one of those on your tow rig would be rad
Need to see more overlanding rigs. Currently building my 03 taco. Supercharger, kings on all 4 corners, total chaos uppers, deaver leaf pack, MT wheels, General M/T's. Armor soon to come.
Awesome I'm from Vista to!!
Very cool the first gen tundra is in my opinion best truck ever made still drive my 03 daily and love it.
Go Fast Campers! Yes, that’s the name of the company.
Love learning about prerunners but I’d love to see more overland rigs. Working on my own overland rig for camping
Heck yea love it, more of what I have / do as well. I think featuring more build like lances and Tacoma builds that are LT trucks with camper and with out. Also love to see some Trx stuff!
Awesome build
This is the EXACT setup I want. I want a Tundra with a low profile pop up camper - all the benefits of the camper without spending $20 a mile on gas
No aftermarket support for 1 Gen Tundra, but shows us the King coilovers and total chaos upper control arms, Deavers etc...
Btw I had a 2002 4.7 4x4 With King coilovers and Fox rears, Downey Headers, TRD supercharged

Supercharged …
just keep the 1st gen tundra videos going ✌🏼
Yes to the snow
Ill never sell my 05 limited 1st gen! Ill scoop up as many 1st gens as i can, best tundras in my opinion!
First gen all the way!
i moved to eastern washington from socal. would love to see you guys up here i brought my 99 f150 with dixon built front and rear set up. hope to see you guys here and find more folks in the pnw to prerun with!

Total Toyota guy haha, talks just like me 😂
1 gen tundra best truck ever I’m about to go 37 on mine
1st gens are basically a newer Taco with a V8 which is why I love mine
Hell yeah! I just got me a '02 TRD SR5 and I'm wanting to turn it into a super capable wood/recovery rig... But I'm also in the Sierras and love hooning the back roads. I love my First Gen.

Nice build
More overland, and northwest stuff when possible.
Yo James is you’re ever on the East coast I’d love to show you my 01 Sonoma on full-size ford axles. Currently in the process of building an exo cage for it

Wouldn't mind seeing some more rock crawler set ups.

Yup 👍 I like my truck awesome reviews 💯
This thing is dialed in. I plan to get some lockers possibly ARB. I got the first gen Sequoia bone stock. Thinking I want to save up for the king shocks to do it right??

Hey I know that name from First Gen Tundra's group on Facebook.
Cool rig bud! You on the 1st Gen Tundras FB group?
Interested in the GX460 brake mod. I have an 06 Tundy and I tow. Can we get a link to the mod?
I should've just searched. www.tundras.com/threads/2000-2006-tundra-big-brake-upgrade-kit-14wa-calipers.61231/
Unfortunately you need 17 in rims. I like my 16s so no go for me.
I did this to my 2004 DC and it is seriously the best upgrade I have done so far. Best bang for the buck too!
He has like 23k emails lol 😳
Legit
Great content. Just need to stabilize that camera some...
