Dude... who knew? lol I saw one of your pressure washing vids that popped up in the suggestions. I was watching this other channel that is all pond forming lol, just a guy in a backhoe shaping the earth around ponds ha! Find is so relaxing. Same thing with your gig, lol!
Who knew that watching a dude clean off concrete would be so relaxing, ffs. lol I mean, Iv been thinking about it, and obviously I'm not the only one, same goes for the restoration channels. Something supper soothing about the sand blasting chambers, I could watch that all weekend, lol.
Anyway, I think personally it feeds my OCD. They call OCD a disorder, but I like to just call it a positive distraction, Ha! I don't see it as a disorder because I have lived a complete life being fussy about details and making sure to get in all the corners, lol. I've done my time in the workforce.
As an old guy now, if I want to watch a tractor shave the edges of giant ponds into sloping curves for 5 hours and ramble on anonymously on the internet all weekend, I will. lol
Anyway, I bet you are surprised as anyone that people would get the same satisfaction of power spraying the lawn's edge along the sidewalk, ffs. lol. Enjoy it, man, keep up the good work.
Oh, also I want to comment on the reactions of others, spell bound in a world today where kindness is suspect ripe full of ulterior motives. It must be nice when they realize you really are just doin' it cuz.
Nobody's neighbors put you up to it, you're not casing the joint to rob it, you aren't trying to trick them into a door-to-door scam. Alright, I just read what I wrote, two "Anyways" is enough. I put your link in my once a week folder, so see you next weekend, cheers.

I walk over grass sidewalks all the time. I just moved to this little town in the mid-west and I have a feeling I thinkI know where a brick sidewalk is from a long time ago might be.

@@Slayadrian While that is true, I do think theres other things in play here.
Using a powered edger you'll get a clean cut instead of the ziggy cut the HPW is giving. Depending on what material you have beneath, and the amount of pressure your machine can do, you'll most likely end up damaging the tile/stone beneath. While it may not be visible to start off with, simply wait for winter and see the frost damages :-)
So, edging = lasts longer, looks better, doesnt damage tile/stone as much.

He's a nice guy. I'm sure he does a lot for people that he doesn't film. But the important thing to remember for ALL of these "I did this job for free" videos is that this is a business. He does the job for free and then he posts the videos on RUclips to make his money for it. And he makes a hell of a lot more by doing that than by charging the people a couple hundred bucks or whatever.
That isn't meant to say anything bad about him or anyone else, I'm just explaining the business model. It's a very, very good strategy. It makes the people who do these look like the nicest guys in the world and they typically make more money doing it this way. Of course, a person could also charge the customer money and also film it to put on RUclips, but then they wouldn't get to brag about doing it for free and making everyone think they're just super nice. 😂

Very mysterious that one block different from the other sidewalk blocks. Do you think there’s a walkway hidden in their front yard? Thank you for doing this one and sharing with us.

Maybe a mower going thru several times thinking there is nothing underneath

Glad someone else picked up on it 😅😅 half the time no one comments on it and I’m felt feeling like I’m the weird one for paying attention to detail

My guess is that there’s a utility that runs beneath it that couldn’t be moved. Easier and cheaper to pull up and reinstall separate pavers/blocks than to tear up a solid concrete section if it ever needed work done to it.

Do you ever have to warn people that it will look bad until it's finished? Kind of like when you deep clean things it can look like chaos halfway through the job until you're done? Great job as always! It looks incredible!

The decorator in me sees that walkway with something planted along both sides, mulch and lights. It would be fantastic!

(Just a side though, the house looks so strange without a window on the left side, never saw a house like that)
