On my ram I’m sitting inside I break and I’m watching my mpg go from 140 to like 120? What gives?? I have a 2016 5.7, is that normal???
I have an 01 5.9 Cummins and I run the diesel kleen and I've never noticed a mpg change, 35 inch tires probably don't help, but the truck does seem to run a little smoother though

I have a 2016 1500 5.7Hemi and I get 27 mpg highway once you get to those high speeds the 8 speed transmissions really shine
There's no way a Hemi gets 27 mpg. 21 at the most driving like a grandpa...
i get 18.5 around town. Just did a 65-75 mph drive from Vegas to San Diego and I barely got 20.5. 2015 4x4 Tradesman.76k. 1" left and leveling kit, after market bumpers and a winch. stock everything else. Seems I have a low mpg lemon.
You probably have the 3.92 gears. That’s what I have. I average about 22.5
traded it in September. Trans kept overheating even after new fluids and a new pan. Got a 2019 Ram 2500 4x crew cab 6.4... LOVE IT!!!! Night and day!
After similar mileage (188.4) I'm seeing 26.9. Mostly highway, but not all and there were hills to climb in that.

16' PJ trailer. 2300 lbs. with a 4700 lb Jeep wrangler on it. 12 mpg.
It’s also not broken in at 1000miles. Wait till 5000 and see what it says.
from guys I know, they say you need about 75,000 miles to break in this motor to see a real difference.
what are you averaging in city? I have a 2016, just got it a couple weeks ago. MPG is low compared to their claim of 19. i drive about 6 miles round trip for work. By low I seem to be getting 15/16. Babying the throttle too. Any tips? thanks.
In the city only I would say 19-20 and normal driving I am always at 23
I wonder what's going on... i'm going to reset my calculator and see if it's different. I mainly bought the truck because of the MPG. In respect to MPG it's much better then my Tundra but a little disappointing so far.
That seems low as my 2016 f150 2.7 I'm getting average 21.3. Stop and go traffic a lot?
Amount of stop and go within those 6 miles, your particular driving habits (how aggressive you are), and fuel quality can all play a factor.
Driving only 6 miles round trip on the ecodiesel won't even warm up the motor. I drive 125 KM (about 77 miles) a day round trip to and from work, and I am usually in the 9.0 L/100 (26mpg) range. I find that the first 20 minutes my mileage is bad as the motor isn't fully warmed, once it gets warmed up, it shines. Most of my driving is in the 80kph range (50mph) with start and finish in town, and 3 towns along the route I have to slow down for. This has been the average for the last 65,000 km (about 40,000 miles or so) of driving. I usually average over 1,000km (600 miles) a tank.
Am I the only one who get 20.9 mpg highway I have a 2014 ecodiesel
2015 and the same.. except i have to go like 200+ miles before i can baby foot it to 20.5. mpg
