    You have a lot of patience, I rip the kale out of the stem with my bare hands, steam it and then eat it with my bare hands.

    Thank you for this video... Excuse me for asking what may be a silly question but can the same process also apply to mustard greens as well as collard greens and cabbage?

    My grandmother used to steam spinach but all I had in the house was Kale. So I steamed some rinsed kale, added a pat of butter, S&P and a splash of apple cider vinegar. So good!

    After only 2 min of steaming the kale was still practically raw. 5 min of steaming made it edible for me.

      I agree. I like my kale soft like spinach. This quick steaming makes it feel raw. If i have to chew each mouthfull like 30 times, my jaw starts hurting.

      Please let all the poor people know when you will be sending them money so they can buy their 6 fistfuls of Kale.

    Nice video!!! What brand of steamer do you have and where did you buy it?

    • @alphavirginis
      @alphavirginis 7 лет назад

      You can just buy a steamer basket in a Dollar Store. Basically, any metal container with holes at the bottom and boiling water underneath will do.

    Thank you! My kidneys hurt eating raw kale. I read it's better to steam or Sautee but possibly losing 40% nutrients.

    I'm a little late to the party but you should take off any rings when you cook because bacteria can get caught in there, and end up in your food.
