Thank you for this video... Excuse me for asking what may be a silly question but can the same process also apply to mustard greens as well as collard greens and cabbage?
I agree. I like my kale soft like spinach. This quick steaming makes it feel raw. If i have to chew each mouthfull like 30 times, my jaw starts hurting.
My grandmother used to steam spinach but all I had in the house was Kale. So I steamed some rinsed kale, added a pat of butter, S&P and a splash of apple cider vinegar. So good!

You have a lot of patience, I rip the kale out of the stem with my bare hands, steam it and then eat it with my bare hands.

Great video, I don't have a steamer but used a strainer it worked fine for me.
After only 2 min of steaming the kale was still practically raw. 5 min of steaming made it edible for me.
Agreed

Do you add garlic or spices?
thank you! what brand of steamer do you use?
Nice video!!! What brand of steamer do you have and where did you buy it?
You can just buy a steamer basket in a Dollar Store. Basically, any metal container with holes at the bottom and boiling water underneath will do.
Thank you for this video!
Thank you! My kidneys hurt eating raw kale. I read it's better to steam or Sautee but possibly losing 40% nutrients.
Thanks very informative video.
I always like to use a salad tosser, you like your salad tossed, Marni?
Everyone needs to eat a fist full of steamed dark leafy's, (Like Kale) 6 times a day for absolute optimum health
Sure, everyone whose life revolves solely around food. :-)
Please let all the poor people know when you will be sending them money so they can buy their 6 fistfuls of Kale.
Great tip!
Great job! Thanks for the easy to follow video!
Type in PETA, go to PLAYLISTS, find the Pandemic Playlist. Thank you
Nice recipe
I'm a little late to the party but you should take off any rings when you cook because bacteria can get caught in there, and end up in your food.
thank you
I realize this is a 10 year old video…..but why rinse the kale after you steamed it??
Thanks!
Sandy MacGillivra
thanks(:
Train by day, get kidney stones by night?
It's not as bad as spinach.
And lemon juice helps a lot too.
Humanzee Steaming removes the oxalates.
You are gorgeous.
Great video! I have to start rating more like white women
That was presented for just a few leaves. I can't imagine a larger quantity... That looks like too much prep work.
Thank you
