The camera zoom out during dark pulse is a bigger deal than people realize too

It looks like Dark Pulse only does its attack after a set amount of time, but you can use Shadow Claw in the circles before Dark Pulse's attack. The problem El Chico was facing is that they had Shadow Claw on cooldown most times they used Dark Pulse
No, you can see the move is available to reactivate but has a set time that it will if you just sit there. The icon is not faded, it's solid clickable.
Gengar 2 electric Boogaloo was my thought process for how darkrai played
I haven't even watched the video yet, but I remember reading the notes for it. That's exactly what it is. At least, it's a better version of dream eater Gengar most likely. For some reason, the devs are unwilling to rework Gengar, and instead repackage the kid for a different pair. A lot of players who like to play attackers especially, love that Gengar sucks and are willing to see it continue to struggle rather than get our kit changed. It's my most played mon, and I'd rather see it do less damage over time and have a more useful kit across the entirety of the match. I don't need it high highs, I need its Lowe's to not be in the basement
@@dionjones6300 ive played gengar a bit, he's fun. I would have loved to see a gengar rework and darkrai at the same time but no, by October gengar is going to be less used than the nut you play with outside.
@entityproductions830 I'd rather say that Gengar can be fun. But the design philosophy behind the character is half baked/rigid. This was fine year 1 but by now it feels like it's aged poorly. Great burst, bad early and mid games. Countered by team play. Hex is as cheesy as day 1, while ball/eater suffers highly from the range nerf while being a moveset with small windows of opportunity.

I like the idea of the dark pulse move in concept but it seems a little awkward to control. It might be easier on controller than on mobile too
Darkrai is just a full on refrence to itself in pokken and im loving it
All they’re missing is nasty plot adding those random mini deadlights (also the nightmare mode but the unite move is kinda like that and also forces them to play pokken for a few seconds to compensate)
That "burst damage" is most likely it's boosted attack against sleeping Pokemon

Sableye and Dragonite has to be retooled, Sableye has to be special, Dragonite has to be melee

I think the thing missing with that 1st moveset is the having that speedster impact, not damage but that it can't do it in a shorter, cooler combo without stopping everytime it basic attacks
I love the fact that it has its legs out during the scoring animation :)
Not sure how much I like the moveset yet, because it seems there's more to it.
Dark Pulse kinda feels like an ult with everything its doing after looking at the footage. Wonder if it just has no synergy with Dark Void, seeing as you use Shadow Claw to attack during Dark Pulse. This thing seems very hard to catch in a team fight.
if his unite is as much like mordekaiser's ult in league, then full heal or something similar might drop you out of it. which can be a great counter, because one of you was prepared to be dropped back into a team fight
The unite puts you into the nightmare with only you two the enemy body is sleeping and can probably still be attacked.
If your body is not available for attacking, then basically this thing is an improved Slowbro unite.
He doesn't need to wait for the "timer" because he can also use shadow claw in the circle if it's not on cool down.

that unite sounds like the ultimate "you cannot and will not play the game anymore" thing. i guess you could purposely delay ko'ing thenightmared target as they cant help at an objective while stuck there with you

Darkrai is my favourite pokemon so im glad to see him.
Two things that i thought that nobody is pointing out.
You could use the unite has an escape tool using it on the slowest pokemon to run away.
And the other one is can you score while using it?
Because you could use it on someone stuck in a fight or that is escaping from one and take advantage of it to score while having noone being able to stop you.
When the Unite ends both of you are teleported back, If I had to guess you probably won't be able to score inside their nightmare.
I think it could be really strong against Healers as you're denying the enemies healing while you're in an easy 1v1.

The unite was cool but It doesn't seem too op, I'm just not sure if there is a timer or if you can take damage during the nightmare. Just like other Pokemon who have 1v1 unites, since they have a third move of burst and all but if there is a skill gap or level gap, you're not guaranteed a ko? Curious to see more of it
Also looks like when you come back you spawn in where you left, the enemy team could rip you as if you had sheninja doll
i always wish we get someone who knows what they’re doing showing us this but its good to have something i guess

As an attacker/support flex, that unite move is meaner than Mimi’s ult
I'd love to see a moveset made for invading enemy jungle. Imagine sleeping the enemy jungler and taking their ads.

This is underwhelming. He may just be a high skill cap Pokémon, but dark pulse doesn’t look that strong as it’s seemingly easily avoidable

I think its that he can only atk from the holes other mons are on. U cant just atk from where ever so it only worked when someone was stand on/ walked over it
No look at 12:03 he tried to kill the enemy's but has to wait for the attack to trigger

I like the sleep gameplay but huuuh I dislike Darkrai so much. I understand people like him and I am happy for them but I would have loved Musharna or Hypno better.
