Nothing beats the classic era stuff but I do like the Key album sections

I remember early 90s YES was coming to Montreal but cancelled from lack of ticket sales. I have a few of their early albums and do enjoy them. The Box set they put out is great Yesyears with a cool YES family tree poster. Nice video Mr. Bill 👍🏻

Tales from Topographic Oceans - a love or hate album. Despite being a Yes fan, I still don't have the patience for it.

Yes had a run of 3 perfect albums with The Yes Album, Fragile and Close to the Edge. After that, it was hit or miss songs/albums up to Going for the One. They were certainly done by 1978 with Tormato. After that, they just weren't Yes.

Drama was a very good album, and Trevor Horn did a nice vocal job, and blended well with Squire. The album had some good energy and songs. One of my favorite Yes albums. I am a camera......

Tales was epic. I was disappointed at the time to see Bruford leave, but once I got into the album, it was very spiritual and deep. Some of the best playing from Howe on that album, very soulful and contextual to the deepness of the album. You must listen to it with a different Yes ear to appreciate it.

It's funny, because Yessongs was such a monster of a triple live album, it was YEARS before I even listened to any of the early studio albums. I just never picked them up because Yessongs had most of the best stuff covered. (For instance, the entirety of Close To The Edge is on that behemoth.) I have 'em all now, including 4 copies of Yessongs (3 vinyl, 1 CD set) but YS still remains one of my favorites from Yes. Outstanding triple album.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention of Jon Anderson's solo albums or Patrick Moraz's solo albums. I have some of both of their solo works along with some Jon and Vangelis albums

I featured the ones I thought should be shown. I have tried, but I don't enjoy Jon Anderson's solo LPs, except for "3 Ships".

After I heard Big Generator I let the album process in my mind and I started calling it "Big Mistake".

    12. Magnification
    11. The Ladder
    10. The Quest
    9. Fly From Here
    8. Mirror To The Sky
    7. The Yes Album
    6. Drama

There have been some really positive comments about the Atlantic 75 45rpm version of '90525' And as I didn't really rate it at the time of original release, I thought I would check the album out by streaming it. And I have to say, nah...I still don't like the album. In fact I haven't liked anything by Yes since 'Going For The One' I was never a massive fan of recorded live music but have recently relented, so after your glowing review I am willing to now give 'Yessongs' and maybe even 'Yesshows' a go. On vinyl of course. Cool video, dude.

Sorry, but TFTO is unlistenable to me. It's too self-indulgent, maybe they were too stoned or something. I think with Relayer, which is very good, they were trying to capture the magic of Close to the Edge.
