Finally I managed to attach the nozel cover properly. I found very crucial that the attchment of nozzle cover to the fan bracket has to be tested by applying mild pulling force outside the bracket. If the nozzle cover falls down then the seal that comprises two spine-like structures at the base of the tab was not completely passed throug the slit of fan bracket and thus the the seal of tab did not properly lock the nozzle cover to the metal plate of the bracket. An other crucial step is that the pockets at the ends of the nozzle cover should be firmly pulled over the edges of metal plate. Again the properness of the attachment should be tested by applying mild force. However, the attachment of the front tab to the metal plate was always carried out by ease in my hands. Likewize, the success of this should also be tested like above. However, to improve the clip I recommend you to briefly introduce the crucal parts of the nozzle cover like the seals and pockets. Then comes your clip as usual. After the brief introduction to the structure of nozzle cover the customer may have a better opportunity to install the new nozzle cover if not at once but with fewer trials and errors?
We have 2 printers, we have to replace this cover every other week or so. Hopeless design. Our printers go basically 24/7 and it's really annoying to have the printer stop after 12h in the middle of the night and then restart it again. Due to this quality issue, and others, we bought two Bambu X1e printers and as soon as they are up and running we might buy two more to replace the S5's. We will keep them for backup probably because they work but the Bambu seems much better in quality and print time. It would be much appreciated though if the quality problem of the silicone cover could be fixed.
This is the bane of my existence it took me over an hour to attach
I was able to get several months out of mine but finally replaced them, this video was a great help, the round nozed twezzers make it alot easier

can i print without this on? ours fell off in the middle of a 6 day print?!
You better print without and buy new print cores before becoming insane of this piece of whore nozzle cover.
It looks simple, but pushing the silicon into the slots on the sides are not that easy. You think they're in slots, but check.
anyone with links for an S5 cover??
thanks in advance
Its not hard to change the title to reflect the actual model (How to replace S-linea Nozzle covers)
Is this nozzel cover avalible for the Ultimaker 3 ?
Be glad it doesn't so you won't have to buy new ones and replace them
It's a different cover, but yes they are available and should also be replaced every three months or so. Don't worry, they are not expensive.
Thx I found dem 👌🏻
How do I replace the rectangular style silicone covers?
Very cool

This is easily the worst part of this printer. I have destroyed three of these trying to get one in correctly. Absolute crap.
Thank God, I am not the only one who got angry.
What a horrible design. I can’t wait till this thing shits out and I can get a prusa
Frustrating as fuck
