I'm on the second dungeon (Earth Temple) right now. This is definitely my favorite version of Skyward Sword and that's solely because of button controls. They make the game so much more enjoyable to play.

It is more a bit of greed, as they do not think re-releasing a game people have already played will make them 'more' money than when they initially released it. They have the belief that "If you like this old game, you should buy the old discontinued console to play the game on"

Wouldn't have given SS a perfect 10 to begin with, maybe 8.5 - 9. But to me, assuming everyone played the game 10 years ago and thus slashing the score is illogical. Many recent remakes are solid standalone experiences just as well as era-defining iconic games. Would be shame if non-veterans avoided them only because reviewers deflate the scores.

It's crazy looking at this game and BOTW and think - this was the last zelda game before BOTW. If anything, Skyward Sword shows you how much BOTW evolved the series.

im really struggling with the controls its not user friendly too many buttons to press just for a single movement. hope nintendo put some option for the controls like normal mode controls like in botw ao that the new generation or younger gamer wont having a hard time

Its been 10 years since the original release. A remaster with this many improvements should be judged with more modern game standards in mind so it probably now deserves a lower score. Though you could argue it never deserved that 10 in the first place.
Just beat this game after two weeks with no guides or anything. Great characters and really interesting dungeons. Only gripe would be the sluggish controls and flying got really annoying. Ill give it 7/10 XD.
It is infuriating how bad the motion controls are and especially the necessity the game makes of them. Even when turned off they somehow managed to make the alternative as bad as the motion controls themselves. Unfathomable how some declared this game of the year in favor of Skyrim. Even more unfathomable how a company of perfectionists like Nintendo apparently never had the thought of updating those controls or just plain right cancelling them in the first place. The ppl who have a problem with motion controls are most likely the same one's who tap buttons repeatedly until they get a response. You will not get the best experience out of this game without learning to properly use the motion controls. It is a completely different feeling.
Upscaled 480p is still 480p, the internal resolution is not changed. The upscaling on Wii U looks better than the Wii output, but nowhere near the quality of the visuals on the Switch version.

Demise is the original incarnation of the entire ganondorf line. At the end of SS demise says he and Link and Zelda will be linked to his curse and forever intertwined until it is broken,thus far none of us know if or how it will be .

The soundtrack in this game is incredible. instant classic themes that are all new to Zelda. That's an amazing acheivement in itself.

In my opinion the best Zelda game. Brilliant dungeons, fantastic boss fights and some of the best music in the series. The story is amazing too ❤

Just beat this game after two weeks with no guides or anything. Great characters and really interesting dungeons. Only gripe would be the sluggish controls and flying got really annoying. Ill give it 7/10 XD.

It is infuriating how bad the motion controls are and especially the necessity the game makes of them. Even when turned off they somehow managed to make the alternative as bad as the motion controls themselves. Unfathomable how some declared this game of the year in favor of Skyrim. Even more unfathomable how a company of perfectionists like Nintendo apparently never had the thought of updating those controls or just plain right cancelling them in the first place. Excruciatingly infuriating

The ppl who have a problem with motion controls are most likely the same one's who tap buttons repeatedly until they get a response. You will not get the best experience out of this game without learning to properly use the motion controls. It is a completely different feeling.

Just remember that Skyward Sword is on the Wii U for only $20 and the Wii U upscales Wii Games to HD
Upscaled 480p is still 480p, the internal resolution is not changed. The upscaling on Wii U looks better than the Wii output, but nowhere near the quality of the visuals on the Switch version.

Re-release an old game, call it hd and charge your consumers full price is the new way of gaming.

Because this is a low effort "remaster". It's closer to a HD port with a few changes. If the Crash Trilogy gets an 8.5 this should not get any more than an 8.
