Lets be clear, Canada is in the trade agreement thanks to Mexico. On the last deal Trump wanted Canada out and Mexico stood out for Canada, so it is pretty disgrateful for Canadian politicians to pay them back like this. Secondly, Canada is not the one to decide for who stays and who goes. And lastly, Mexico is America's most important trading partner so guess who the Americans would choose? If Canada wants to leave NAFTA 2.0, as Mr. Ford would say, God bless them.

They are more afraid of China. China has the industrial and economic capacity to eventually overtake and eventually crush most American industries. I mean good for China for trying to do good on itself, but it will eventually lead to a complete economic collapse and infinitely more poverty in USA if all their industries get crushed. Every single step in all Chinas supply chains employ people who earn significantly less, and there is much less environment regulations. It's a race to the bottom and for USA to compete would require dropping salaries of most Americans significantly.

    in its purest form
international free trade benefits all parties
because each nation is supposed to specialize what it produces best
and trade in exchange for what they dont produce.
the problem facing US now is that they still believe they are the best at producing cars
    when they clearly are not
hence they now dont want free trade because global competition is already hurting big 3

Without Mexico, this agreement is useless. We provide nearly 40 percent of fresh vegetables and fruits for the US. More than half of the new vehicles are made here with superior quality and precision. 20 percent of US defense industry is based here. Try to make them in Canada or the US with 40 dollars per hour wages.... Mexico is the main exporter and importer for and from the US in the world. Canada is much less important in this equation. If Mexico is kicked out, then we will join BRICS... We have immediate access. China, Russia, India and Brazil have invited Mexico every year. The US will lose its most important relation in the world.

I live in California, which is the largest agricultural producer in the nation. Yet, it’s difficult to pick up produce in the supermarket that doesn’t say imported from Mexico. Mexico is one of the largest manufacturing superpowers that makes high-quality goods that don’t need to go too far to be imported. The problem is that our food prices and prices of many products will go up as a result of Mexico being excluded from this agreement. Ultimately low income and middle-class consumers are going to be the ones impacted the most.

Funny how a few years ago the US told Mexico to do not be afraid and make business with China. Good luck to the US economy if Mexico goes out of the Nafta because american citizen lives will get harder and pay more for cheap goods. I wonder how american people will have higher salaries and pay cheaper for goods when for decades their factories closed off and went ouf the US. Good luck for american companies that already have huge factories that cost millions and millions of dollars in Mexico because those can't be relocated in less than 3 to 5 years without spending even more millions. It's also funny how not only Mexico is importing chinese goods but also other countries in Latam and Europe because China descentralized thousands of factories and took them to other countries to bypass the US control in their territory (just look at the news in every single major chinese city where millons of workers are being laid off because of this). I'm pretty sure every country will suffer from this economic turmoil in the next few years. Mexico is already making economic trades with Germany and Europe and looking forward to unite central and part of south america. Mexico is slowly and strongly expanding i'ts arms to other countries in america without the help of global neoliberals and that's what the right wing doesn't like because they always wanted to keep third world countries down but those times are over.

In Mexico we know that Canada is heading for general elections, and that Trudeau is not doing so well and the liberals and conservatives are using Mexico to gain support. From Mexico, we kindly ask Canadian political leadership not to use Mexico for electoral purposes. Mexico is not to blame for Canada’s internal political crises. Canadians don’t let your political class full you, Mexico won’t be kick out from USMCA, for the U.S, Mexico is an important and strategic trading partner. Canada trying to kick out Mexico from the trade deal could turn out damaging for Canada.
