For some reason, when playing Honkai Star Rail, I can easily recognize the character's voice in the English dub even though the character is not in my account, probably because I'm used to hearing the English accent? 😅🤔🙃
Honestly, same, I got them all because the voices are just that recognisable in EN. The only one I was close to not getting was Yanqing, I initially thought it was Sushang, but then remembered her line mentions the phoenix.

Yeah Huohuo I got before the english line even came up. There was two voices, one was a scared girl, the other was a grizzly otherworldly sounding man. Even without knowing their natural voices or what they're saying, it's just way too obvious. The only one I missed was Fu Xuan because I've never used her. I've used every other character here, even if I don't actually own them. Blade and kafka for example are common ones to get free trials of in events, so I got them even though I don't own them.
I would've been in trouble, too, had Huohuo and Xueyi not been the two characters I play most other than Fu Xuan. I knew it couldn't be them, so 10 Lords Commission instantly led me to Hanya.

Like, my brain knew the dialouge but it froze when it heard a female voice saying it. But evetually i put 2 & 2 together & realized it was female Trailblazer (Stella). lol.
19/20 Yukong screwed me over since I rarely use her and never heard her ult in normal speed. I also kinda messed up at Lynx's one and mixed her up with Tingyun for the same reason, but I still guessed it was Lynx.
I have never even heard Yukong's ult at all until now lol. I got it from her voice and the lines (Yukong has a pretty recognizable voice, and she was talking about "cloud kites", which I knew had to be related to Yukong, since they appear in her art and are sorta related to her job).
I was able to get herta from her english line, but I also recognized her japanese line even though I don't use japanese, because of the "kuru kuru" meme.
20/20 I love all the English VAs I started guessing just by Chinese and was 11/20. (Edit after reading all the comments I’m suprised Lynx was so hard she has such a distinct voice to me. If this was just voice lines on the screen I would have had a hard time though.)
20/20! Even though I play on x2 speed once we hit EN it was pretty easy for me to recognize the voices and note who was who. (And unlike many in the comments I play Stelle so your Stelle usage didn't trip me up at all lol even if I prefer my darling Destruction TB)

It's a pretty basic and simple line, but the power that she puts into her words followed by the impact noises and ghostly screams makes it feel impactful to me. The spear throwing animation has quite a bit of a punchy feeling to it too, and her ult can deal pretty high damage numbers, so it just feels really weighty.

Shoutout to youtube videos which allowed me to recognize Kafka (jp), Pela (eng), Huohuo (jp), and BARELY recognize Herta (jp, idk why it took me solid few seconds before going OOOHHH) Knew Blade, Bailu, Lynx, Fire Trailblazer (that one purely from line itself and not voice, since I have male mc) Recognized IL because I main Dan Heng and the voice isn't really that different
Tbh it's a good strategy to guess a character listening to lines they saying, not their voices. For example, this could help with "ten lords commission" and so on 🤔
20/20 soo easy I play only on English and even I could guess some of the characters in different languages, every character just has such distinct and different voices it’s easy to tell who is who based on how their voice sounds. I reckon I would be able to tell who is who based on the sound effects of ults since those are iconic to characters
Got everything right except Bailu bc I thought she was Lynx. The English voices are honestly really distinctive overall though so I feel like it was easy even though I don't even have or use most of these characters.
I knew it was Bailu. Because the ultimate voiceline mentions a prescription and there are only 2 playable doctors (so far), one of which being a grown woman

Blade and Luca were tricky since I'd never actually heard their lines in-game, but it was easy enough to make an educated guess. Hanya would've been tough had her line not mentioned the 10 Lord's Commission, since I knew it wasn't Xueyi or Huohuo, whose lines I hear all the time. The rest were easy as soon as the English played.
20/20 all of them were easily guessed by the voice (I use EN dub and 1x speed so difficulty in this quiz was nonexistent (and plus I heard from others using the JP dub, so i even guessed some JP ultimate voicelines))
As someone who plays without sound I still did pretty well! I did not recognize Blade, as I thought he would sound more aggressive, but then again he's dead inside. I also did not recognize Lynx and Pela. Also I mostly recognized Jing Yuan, Luocha, Sampo and MC, because I know who their seiyuu is. Like, I would never miss Ono Daisuke.

Blade just the right sort of rough voice for a guy like him. 3. IL Dan heard dragon and it was over, but i also recognized his va from story. 4. Kafka this one was harder but i didnt recognize the ult lines so she was the only one i could come up with at the time. 5. Xuehi or however her name is spelt. 'Ten lords' and a tone of voice like hers didnt fit hanya or huohuo so there was only 1 other option. 6. Pela, use her so often its hard not to know. 7. Fu xuan god i love her ult use her all the time. 8. Luka easily he gives off that energy. 9. Herta, diamond end of story. 10. Luocha the dead? Yea it was him. 11. Jing wu i recognize his voice anywhere. 12: Yukong! (Bow from above) 13. I forgot the streamers name tbh. But happy new year. (Guinifen!) 14. Huohuo, 2 voices and cant forget Tail. 15. 20/20. Outside of Blade, IB, Kafka, Jing, and Houhou I own all the characters that were used. I've used Blade, IB, Kafka, and Jing as support units and only used Houhou during the story and for the aptitude showcase, but I always use the aptitude to hear what the skill and ult voice lines sound like both normal speed and 2x speed

20/20! Funnily Lynx was easy peasy for me even just from the Chinese one as I’ve played in CN (but mostly EN), and Lynx is the only healer i really use😅 But Fu Xuan I had to rack my brain on! Forgot she existed for a bit because I don’t have her and have prob only played her a handful of times😩
19/20. I use Lynx a lot, so I wasn't tripping on that. I just keep forgetting Fu Xuan exists
19/20, I only heard Lynx’s voice for that one quest so I didn’t recognize her
Lynx and Stelle almost got me. I do use Lynx bu no too often and I play Caelus so I had to disconnect the lines from the voice.

19/20. Forgot Xueyi existed as a playable character lol.
20/20. Almost lost with lynx, but managed to recognise all of them for the English dub (set language in my game) and the Japanese dub (showcase/.exe videos)
So I got two of these wrong. I mostly got them right due to the lines giving me hints to their characters and how I recognized some of their voice actors for the Japanese version. I suppose that says a lot about me if I can't recognize Herta and Lynx's Ult lines.
20/20 I heard luochas Chinese and English voice completely clueless and when I heard the Japanese one I immediately thought "wait the cube isn't playable (apho players will know)" and then "OH SHEET ITS OTTO"
Didn't know he was a cube 😭
@VelvetRiddler it's very complicated it's not actually otto lol but more like a cube forced into a clone of otto (hi3 lore is crazy)

20/20, but I play on jp dub so I recognize them only when the jp voice started lmao (except sampo koski which I instantly recognize bc his voice acting is just too iconic lol)
aghh. i missed the first one because i mistook it as the line before fu xuan's ult. (before activation, forgetting that it was the line itself). 19/20. most of the time was me trying to remember the name like sampo and jing yuan. but i got everyone else pretty well. Lynx was super easy.

My Lynx is lv1 so i never hear her voice in battle. Despite i have male mc I recognize Stelle voice because that is one of the reasons why I choose male mc.
17/20 Got everyone except JingLuo (I don't have them so I've never heard their lines slowed down) and Lynx (never listened to her slowed down lines)

missed stelle, guinaifen, fu xuan and lynx cuz I haven't really paid attention to them
the guys tho I got them way too quick lmao and even remembered who their jp va is except yanqing's

Got them all. The different dubs just gave me confirmation since i watch star rail streamers with different dubs.
Spoilers for any trying and what i guessed in order.
1. Bronya, pretty easy due to hearing her en va in story a bunch. (I dont use her but thats all i needed)
2. Blade just the right sort of rough voice for a guy like him.
3. IL Dan heard dragon and it was over, but i also recognized his va from story.
4. Kafka this one was harder but i didnt recognize the ult lines so she was the only one i could come up with at the time.
5. Xuehi or however her name is spelt. 'Ten lords' and a tone of voice like hers didnt fit hanya or huohuo so there was only 1 other option.
6. Pela, use her so often its hard not to know.
7. Fu xuan god i love her ult use her all the time.
8. Luka easily he gives off that energy.
9. Herta, diamond end of story.
10. Luocha the dead? Yea it was him.
11. Jing wu i recognize his voice anywhere.

13. I forgot the streamers name tbh. But happy new year. (Guinifen!)

19/20, the only one i got wrong was luocha because ive never played him and ive never really seen anyone play as him and ive never really heard his voice
this vid just shows how different Lynx's sped up ult voice line is from her normal speed voice line

20/20. Outside of Blade, IB, Kafka, Jing, and Houhou I own all the characters that were used. I've used Blade, IB, Kafka, and Jing as support units and only used Houhou during the story and for the aptitude showcase, but I always use the aptitude to hear what the skill and ult voice lines sound like both normal speed and 2x speed
man i was gonna guess kafka but changed to himeko last second 😭 i got 15 right bc there's a couple characters i completely forgot existed (yukong, fuxuan, and bailu) and i didn't even know xueyi was added to the game 💀
19/20, guessed the wrong version of Dan Heng. Lynx has by far the biggest shift in emotion when it comes to all the voices though
19/20. Got tripped up on Yanqing. Considering he bodyblocked Kafka for me recently, I think my mind is deliberately trying to forget about him.
20/20 i could get some from just the Chinese voice lines, oly one i struggled with was xueyi

And I don't even use Lynx that much and play with Caelus instead of Stelle...

It’s the fact that when I heard the characters speak in Chinese, specifically: Blade, Lunae, Jing Yuan, and Sampo, I instantly knew who it was and I don’t speak Chinese nor have ever heard them in Chinese 🌝
