Agreed. He might like to be silly and make people laugh - which is wonderful! - but he seems to also know when to be serious, which is wonderful. I have no problem believing he is very smart. For one thing, anyone that can learn English, when their first langauge is Korean, is smart - they're such totally different languages. I mean, it's not like learning English if you speak French, or... ...or Spanish if you speak French, or whatever. People always ask 'What is the hardest language to learn?" but there is no such thing - how hard it is depends on what language (or languages) you already speak. If you speak English, French will be fairly easy (same alphabet, similar-ish grammar structure, pronouciation is not overly-difficult for native English speakers), Hungarian will be difficult (same alphabet, but totally different grammar structure, including grammatical concepts that don't even exist in English, and very difficult pronounciation for native English speakers), and something like Korean or Arabic will be like super-insanely-difficult (in the case of Korean, totally different alphabet, which is also written a totally different way, in blocks, not just straight across left-to-right like English, not to mention leaning the grammar structure, not to meniton the pronounciation,which doesn't come easily to native English speakers....). So. Given how he is fluent in English, that already impresses the pants off me.

This is why Psy has been staying YG all these years. He's got so much freedom and support from Yang CEO to do what he want. He's happy working and that shows through his music, MVs, and perfomances.
