Whats crazy about this, the drone is only 740 grams. its very windy, but the footage is 100% stable. Honestly this is the most impressive video ive seen so far witht the Mavic. I had no idea this was possible.
I do get a "high wind velocity" warning at times on my mavic. But each flight goes without a hitch and video is stable. Amazing.

Amazing in that wind. A Phantom 4 Pro unmodified would never get out that far. You live on the edge as far as taking your battery to the limit, especially over water.
absolutely mind-blowing!! that drone fought through the wind..the video was superb and clear..and so far from land..what a drone!!! great effort sir and a great way to show us what the drone can do. what a way to test it and push it to it's extremes!!

That is incredible! I cannot believe the drone can fly almost 2 miles away. It's such a light drone too and traveling against the wind like that is impressive. There is no way I could have pulled that off with my Phantom. Awesome video bro, I really enjoyed it!

That's not just any cruise ship, but the Allure of the Seas, which was previously the biggest cruise ship in the world. It was built in my home city, Turku. Mavic Pro has just crazy range, I'm getting one...today actually.

Love your vídeos and all the footage u get from your drones!! Just got my Mavic last week and I took it to Mallorca Island!! I'm more happy with it!! Its light, strong, very well made and with a powerful camera!! And one thing, now I could see how u take the drone before turning off it's power without literally landing it (for example if you're on the beach)! Very useful detail! Next time I'll try with mine too!! 😜 keep doing great!! 😉🖒

Your videos are excellent. The package that you have is perfect - a wonderful camera and a tool to get it to the right place AND to really allow you the time to show us the moving ship in detail. I think this time underscores the luxury of your subject. Your equipment is just getting on with the job. I quite appreciate your own nervousness but it seems the Mavic just goes about its business and the results are very, very impressive. Thank you for having the guts to risk the rig like this ...

I was in similar conditions the other day on the California coast (w/ Mavic), and I opted out. Lol. Good to know she can take it but I still won't even try.. Phantom series.... Maybe? Glad it was a success for you.
P4 actually under performs in high wind in comparison to the Mavic. There is a video out there showing how much the P4 bobs and drifts in the wind while the Mavic barely moves
Nice! I'm sold! I need a good little drone that can handle the winds we often have here in New Mexico, to help locate hiding cattle without having to do so much driving. Good job piloting that Mavic over OPEN water and all that chop, btw!

Would it make sense to "lead" the cruise ship? Navigate the drone at an angle to intercept the ship by flying toward a point far ahead of it ? You can fly sideways to keep the camera pointed toward the ship. Rather than chasing from behind. I'd like to see you do that. Love your videos. When I visited Miami, I tried to find your launch point, and saw the ships docked along cruise ship row.
Robert Simpson there are vids like that and he intended on intercepting the ship as his other bids illustrate. But the video feed wouldn't allow him to depart quick enough. Kinda sucks but that's the situation.

Another great video but man,you really push your luck there in that wind! I watched some poor guy on RUclips loose his main when it ditched in the sea just a couple of hundred feet from the shore ,and it wasn't half as windy, although you be fair you had the wind st your back. Still, really impressive what that little machine can do.
