Sounds great! Very excited to hear the rest of the album, which I'll be buying in April. Thanks for keeping the leash off of drum legend Dave Krusen, because he's killin' it on this tune!
Got to admit, it took me 3 or 4 listens over the last week to appreciate this track but humming the tune now for the last hour & loving it. Hope there's plenty of heavier songs on this album as I don't want it to feel like a continuation of love stories album & back to what makes candlebox great. Looking forward to April 22nd
AWESOME SONG.. SAW CANDLEBOX LIVE THIS WEEKEND IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS AT FITZGERALDS BAR N GRILL. IT WAS AN AWESOME PERFORMANCE. THEY PLAYED SOME OF THEIR NEW SONGS, INCLUDING VEXATIOUS AND OLD THEIR CLASSICS 90'S SONGS.. AWESOME!!
I was at Clicks in Tyler,Texas 4-9-2016/ Happy Birthday Kevin and I was really impressed with ALL the bands that night, and I dig this song as well, I just might be buying this new album, I have the first Candlebox (Far Behind) album and Ive always digged that album, looking foward to some New and Awesome things from you all in the future. Keep on Rocking On Bro!
I've been a huge Klett fan since you guys came out....so it was with caution I try to grasp the new line up, question though.....was the lead break supposed to remind me of Zepp's Achilles Last Stand, or was that purely coincidental.....the song is growing on me.....pretty good so far.
I want to like this but it's just generic balladry. Nothing new here. The statements of "Seattle Sound" are ridiculous. That time has come and gone. This is forgettable.
+Luke Fitzpatrick Spot on. The vocal harmonies sound like autotune and a vocal harmonizer, used EXACTLY like so many of today's "country" artists. Yes, the song is "Perfection" as some have stated.....but only in the sense of being too sterile, predictable, and...as you stated, forgettable. There is absolutely no feeling or soul in this track.
Yeah, Candlebox had their moments. I never found them to be that great in the first place. I've seen on other newer albums that they've re-recorded classics, another move I will not understand. Oh well, to each his own.
they didnt rerecord the old songs the rereleased them on love stories and other memories. they were the original demo versions of them. also this album is amazing man. go check out alive at last, the bridge, ive got a gun
+trey burke according to every article I pull up on the internet these are re-recorded. it is also evident in the aged sound of his voice. I'm glad you like it but the rest of it sounds like b-sides to b-sides and the rest of their catalog is unimpressive as well. sorry.
I love how ominous it is in the beginning, and by the end it's so uplifting...
oh yeah!! Stomping rock-n-roll sound. get it drummer.....
Excellent work.... the texturing on this record is incredible. the Chorus is tremendous! Well done!
This is perfection! as everything you guys do. This is gonna be huge! Candlebox Rocks

If this album is anything like this track this is gonna be a masterpiece.
Wow...awesome chorus hook and bridge...great song and band!
Heard this song on 105.5 WDHA, keep checking on Google everyday for the song... Finally found it, love THIS SONG!
More reminiscent of the CBox sound than the last album. Took a couple listens, & I love it! Catchy as hell.

Do Alive At Last! :-D
It's OK... Not bad, but not great either... The drums are the best part of the song
Good, but not kicking my ass like the Happy Pills cd did.
This is boring , not the Candlebox I miss and love!
