I've purchased some off-brand minifigures and I kind of like it when small accessories and firearms are on a sprue... It makes me think of model kits. LEGO and LEGO compatible sets and bulk lot parts has pretty much replaced model building for me. And I like the obvious wires, in some places in the world (and I'm sure in sci-fi) there are wires all over the place.
thank you for this review. i was not into displaying sets but FO was a game changer for me because of the lights. i enjoy having an illuminated set aside my computer screen, plugged in via usb.
This is one nice set. It actually made me wonder even more why Lego hasn't officially embraced something more cyberpunk-related for City line afters sets like the apartment, downtown, and many of the car models they released lately. And I'm not even going into lighting it...
Everyone needs a fun hole once in awhile 🤣 🤣 yeah I passed on that set and now debating if I should get it. I do have 2 more sets on the way from them.
Nice review! Brands like Funwhole, Cobi, Cada, Pantasy, etc. are making Lego look more and more out of touch, overpriced, and boring. I'm building this set now, and so far, it's super impressive, as was the last Funwhole set I built.
@@LP_360.e Everyone has their preferences, but it's worth remembering that Lego took the connecting block idea from Kiddicraft and then improved on and popularized it, the same way that Funwhole has taken the brick idea (now public domain) and improved on it even further. Since neither Lego nor Funwhole invented the concept or own rights to it, I just buy whichever sets are best and have the best price, which more and more means brands like Funwhole and less and less Lego.
@SO-ym3zs thats nice to hear others that agree with how I feel. To me funwhole has set a new standard in Lego types of builds. Its refreshing to see new and affordable sets on the market.
@@BevinsBricksWorld They're doing some really interesting design work beyond just the specialized light bricks and cable routing pieces. Their newest modular buildings are modular in ways that Lego hasn't thought to do, with removable panels, slide out sections, whole rooms that slide out, etc.. in addition to the usual removable floors. And their level of detailing, like Pantasy, is generally higher than Lego.
I have 2 more sets coming from fun whole to see if all the themes are as good as this. To me with the cost of Lego constantly rising, companies like this are gonna gain a lot of ground fast. With lighting and all original designs.
I have a number of FunWhole sets and the newer ones are excellent. This particular set is not my style however some of the lights on it are awesome. I built the antique shop and agree, the floors are not to be taken apart much however that is not something I would be doing anyway. But there is very little negative vs positive with FunWhole. Even their minifigs have grown on me though I still like the L minifigs better. Question because I don't have any near me at the moment, but are the FunWhole light plugs compatible with yours? I have mostly your lights and Game of Bricks and don't think they fit into GOB ports.
Well its weird and I will do a video on it soon. But my light plug into the funwhole stuff and work but have not tried it the other way around. I do want to test it though.
@@BevinsBricksWorld Excellent. I bought this set to display in my office but I'm going to modify it with Lego pieces to fill out the deficiencies (not being able to view the computer room, the stairs, blank walls, too many studs on the ground/floor, etc). Would be awesome if your products could integrate to assist with customization.
How come yours has a light inside the garage? Mine doesn't. I even double checked and went through the instructions. Are there different versions of this set?
It's again a great build from Funwhole. The lights effect is fantastic. Only minor things they could do better. In my opinion the Leading brand shoud scratch behind there ears. And be a little concerned about the future
I really think sets like this will gain ground on Lego due to the lighting and price point, with good quality. The competition should prioritize the lighting and details to catch up. I like that Funwhole does the custom pieces to help with lighting. Lego is missing an opportunity.
It is an awesome looking set and I agree Lego should get into lighting up some of their buildings. But I would hate to see how much they would charge for them . Thanks for the review, might even think about getting this one. 😁👍
Yeah, Ive thought rhat myself. If this was lego it would probably cost every bit of 400 plus. This really is a worth while build for people that like lights and ninjago. I want to build my ninjago sets now as I think this would compliment them well.

They make some very good designs and they are all original with lights included. Which to me is a game changer.

I wish Lego would if nothing else, embrace lighting. I think companies like this will really give lego a run for the money.
I just got my first FunWhole set today. I got the Medieval Tower and I can’t wait to build it! I’m excited to use the lights.
I have seen this set before, it is awesome, the lighting and wiring thru specific bricks is a great idea, this will give Lego things to think about 👍
Wish they would get on board with lighting. But I would hate to see the prices they would come up with.
@@BevinsBricksWorld the prices will be expensive, I'm building the police station modulor at the moment, have a great weekend Daryl
I'd really love to see you building an entire MOC cyberpunk city with lights
If I did a city like this, I would make it more coruscant from Star wars.
So glad you got your hands on a Fun Hole😜 But seriously i really liked there A Frame Cabin set. Lego better watch out.

I have yet to try Pantasy or cobi, but cada does have nice builds as well.
just remember that this exist only because of lego, so onestly i want to show respect and i buy only original lego

The minifigs are weird at first, but you grow to appreciate them. The hair/hats are compatible with Lego minifigs
They are odd, but I just look at them as being overweight minifigs. I give them Kudos for designing them.
awesome. Also thanks for reviewing other brands. Wanted to know from other lego enthusiasts give an honest take on this brand if worth purchasing.
