Yeah similar to the Thieves' Guild it's pretty clear the Brotherhood has been on the decline for some time. That tiny little sanctuary in Falkreath is all that's left, and unlike the other factions, you have the ability to destroy them completely. I'm pretty sure the letter and circle are just there to show Maven's character, and that the rumors of her dark dealings are not just rumors.

The part with Legate Rikke, even General Tulius says that he isn't sure about the truce with the Aldemeri Dominion and Thalmor. And Grelod the kind is far from kind. Poor Serana, because you know, the entire ordeal she went through with her mother and father, Valerica and Lord Harkon. I do prefer to be a big bad dog than an undead freak.

1 - There's no evidence Aela and Skjor had a thing. The secretive conversation they have is about being in the inner circle. There's absolutely zero dialogue of her grieving for Skjor other than the few lines about getting revenge against the Silver Hand plus she's a marriage candidate. If you were for example to kill Nazeem, his wife would greet you with "I hope the wilds take you". Killing a kid's parents will also have a chance for them to say something about it. This was not an oversight by the developers. Your theory about joining Skjor in the afterlife is also insubstantial since you cure Kodlak after he died. 2 - It's possible to retrieve a quill for Maven that lets her forge any signature. If you join the thieves guild you not only become leader which could benefit her but you help her establish a monopoly on mead production. If you side with the Empire during the Civil War quest line she becomes jarl of Riften. If you tell her about the plan to steal Frost she says to go ahead with it and that she'll deal with Louis Letrush later. There's no evidence to prove she wants you dead specifically.

He can spend some of those many hours making videos on a 10 minute Google search to verify he isn't talking from his behind. I like Valerica better, love that hairdo, also Skjorn is the reason I leave Aela alone, as she already has someone waiting for her on the afterlife, and maybe because i'm a woman and i find a certain pair of brothers and a certain young fellow using his dad's armour way more appealing.
Ikr? I will NEVER forgive the game devs for not making her romancible. The Dragonborn's love helping her heal from her trauma and they vow to spend eithier eternity or the Dragonborn's mortal life together would be such a beautiful charecter arc. Personally I always go vamp and headcannon that she falls for us after a couple decades.
I once played thru Dawnguard religiously like exploring all Soul Cairn and Forgotten Vale and asking Serana to cure her vampirism. Gotta say I'm quite satisfied with the whole thing. Also, there is a potential spouse in Skaal Village. She is the only vanilla spouse that can live in both Skyrim and Solstheim (cmiiw tho I never married her just some info i read some time ago😂)
So what you're saying is she is the only spouse who can bust you with your second wife in Skyrim? I can see the appeal, it would give you an extra level of danger and require a lot of skill and effort to make sure the wives never run into each other. It would be like bumping up the skill level to Legendary on The Bigamists of Skyrim mod (I wonder if that's a real mod).
This is a great channel. As a female, I chuckle at how many players are obsessed with Serana (most of them guys). I'm not sure if I have a favorite female character -- I guess I like Mjoll, a strong, righteous warrior and explorer
Mjoll is great. Idk why everybody wants to marry/sleep with Serana, she's been traumatized since a young age, and I feel like she just needs her independence and our friendship.
I don’t think it’s weird at all that people get attached to Serena. She’s the only follower character who has a fully realized personality and storyline that you can experience gradually over the course of a huge stretch of the game. Every other follower in the game is a one-note caricature who just works for you and barks catchphrases. If all the followers in Skyrim followed you through a huge adventure, made decisions with you in conversations, gave their complicated thoughts on every step of the journey, and had deeper interactions to offer than holding your stuff and hitting bad guys, Serana wouldn’t be such a big deal. She feels more like a person than any other NPC.
It's the same exact reason why super-follower mods like Inigo are so popular. Serana is a fully fleshed out character with a backstory, family drama, a ton of location and quest-based commentary, and perhaps most important she's uniquely voiced. It's not like the stock NPCs where you hear the same 5 voices over and over.

The reverse Uno card I've always wanted ot play was to play a Nord, become thane of every city, get Ulfric to win the war - and then challenge _him_ to a duel where I'd take him apart in seconds, being the player character, Dragonborn, master assassin, Companion, arch mage, ... Afterall, each and every Stormcloak (and Stormcloak supporter) would _have to_ accept the inevitable outcome of that duel, since it's how Ulfric started the whole thing 😛
You kinda also forgot about the book of love questline,the one that dinya at the temple of mara gives you where you visit three areas around Skyrim where you help out solve things between certain couples and at the end you get the agent of dibella perk which makes you do more damage to people of the opposite gender (like 5% or something like that)of you The thing is some people don't realize is after it dinya is actually pregnant (like seren in dawnstar) Kinda a secret behind it all
The quest with the couples is "the book of love" and you get it at the temple of mara in Riften. The quest you are referring to is "The heart of dibella" and is obtained if you break into the temple of dibella in Markarth. Both are fun quests with a perk as a reward so it's easy to get those mixed up.

Great video, but the Black sacrament in Mavens basement probably isn't there for the dragonborn. It's for a girl named Svidi. Svidi is the former lover of Sibbi Black-Briar. Sibbi killed her brother and So Svidi then got Sibbi arrested 😂 Maven wants to kill her for her betrayal and Sibbi is searching for her. And Maven is infuriated by the Dark brotherhood because they can't find her! Svidi have since then cut her hair and is now living in Ivarstead under the Alias "Lynly Star-Sung". She is in hiding in vilemyrs inn! 🙈
Honestly I think that half of the imperials still worship Talos, I mean even in the Emperor's quarter we can find a Talos amulet (maybe it's a mod but I don't remember installing something like that )
I would say more than half, cause when you listen to a lot of the imperial dialogue, especially between Legette and The general, they really just using the treaty to buy time. It’s basically a political long game but the ulfric boys are looking at the now (which understandable to a degree) but the thalmor just get to sit back and watch the infighting weaken the empire
Never got the impression Serana was forced into anything, pretty sure she even tells you she went in willingly or maybe the line is something like "To become a Daughter of Coldharbour you need to be willing to submit yourself" can't remember the exact phrasing tbh but it was why I'm always surprised when ppl say she was aped or forced, there probably more a argument that her own parents groomed/indoctrinated her but even then i'd just be putting my own narrative on the topic. All we really know is her, her mum an her dad all trained for it and went into it willingly, what happened during is simply anyone's guess but we can all probably safely say it was far from nice, and after all 3 undoubtedly massacred and drank the blood of alot of innocent ppl.
She was raped nearly to death, that's how she became a Daughter of Coldharbour. And although it was expected of her, I guarantee you she was forced into it. Crap like that happens all the time in the real world, young girls being forced into arranged marriages against their will, etc. They're basically being forced to have sex with some guy they don't want to. And a lot of them can be pretty abusive, since this kind of thing happens in countries where women typically don't have as many rights, or are viewed as second-class compared to men. In Elder Scrolls lore what happens is Molag Bal violently forces himself on the victim, and afterwards if they are still alive immediately after he sheds a drop of his own blood on their forehead. After they finally succumb to their injuries (they will not survive on their own) and they rise as a pureblooded vampire, their injuries rapidly healing. It's covered in various in-game books in Skyrim and other elder scrolls games, particularly the story of the first vampire Lamae Beolfag, who rose as Lamae Bal after her....experience.

@@chrissimpson7104 Even if Serana went into the ceremony "willingly", it doesn't make the ceremony itself any less horrifying. Even if you knew what was coming, there's no way to truly prepare yourself to be assaulted by a Daedric Lord.
It's explained in game, that Aela and Skjor weren't having a romance but sneaking away to become Werewolves and hunt the Silver Dawn--they later bring you into what they've been doing. Also Aela explains that all the females in her family became Companions, including her mother. All of whom would have likley been werewolves. So most of her family is in Hircine's hunting grounds.
This will possibly be pointed out by other people but the man she wanted dead was Christophe. You can find a letter from her to him at the Bannered Mare on the table in the alcove hinting at this. I have a theory that Christophe successfully fled from Skyrim and that the sell sword drinking in the very same alcove was actually hired to kill him.
id like to point out the dialogue btween skor and aela are completely innocent. at that point in the game you are still and outsider and have not taken the blood oath to become a werewolf, in other words, its still a very closely guarded secret in the companions. what she means by "what you and skor are up to during your little hunts" is the fact that they transform and go on a rampage. theyre not hunting game like normal hunters, theyre hunting as wolves. its called foreshadowing

Every character voiced by Ali Hillis does it for me lol. She did the voice of Lea T'Soni in the Mass Effect games and she does a few NPCs as well as one companion/marryable character and also a Dragon in Skyrim. Such a unique and deeply sexy voice!
If you played oblivion and come across a book called The daughter of coldhabour, it goes into detail the ritual and the first vampire. It’s cool and at the same time really messed up
Sapphire is an interesting character, she can be married, technically, she is in the group of characters that you can marry, however, you can never reach the required relationship lever to marry her. On pc use console commands to raise her to relationship level 4, and then approach her wearing the amulet, and she will accept marriage.
My favourite "perfect coincidence" moment was a guard mocking me with that "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?" comment - and then I got lucky with him actually having a sweetroll in his inventory that I could pickpocket off of him 😜
While you do get attacked by an assassin as a random event, and yes, Maven is doing the black sacrament but... there is no indication YOU are the target she wants.
If it was REALLY Maven who sent the hit out on us... _we'd know_ xD (( she wouldn't pretend not to know us when we'd meet - she'd have our head the moment we enter her Riften xDD )) Though I also always had the hc that the dark brotherhood note was the reason we're trying to cross the border at the start (( and that the 'person with the contract' Astrid tells us about in the shack is, in fact, the player - who 'buys' their life back by taking another ))
Yeah, whatever unknown thing the Dragonborn did to get the contract was prior to the game and the Dark Brotherhood does have the "trade one life for another" ritual. Although one wrinkle is that Astrid implies that you picked correctly if you kill her as well so I wonder if she also had a contract on her head.

And it also locks you out of the DB, which wouldn't be the case if you were truly 'fulfilling a contract'. I think her "well done" is more to praise you for being able to best her, the leader of the dark brotherhood. Since that would require incredible skill, story-wise. It would certainly earn her respect. (( Also, Astrid probably wouldn't be able to put a hit on herself if there already WAS one on her, later on. The Nightmother also never mentions there being one on her prior to that, despite you being the listener, aka the person she supposedly tells all contracts to ))
in my playthroughs, i usually deal with grelod by capturing her soul, then using it to enchant a wooden sword with the most worthless enchantment i can find, then give it to one of my kids, so grelod ends up in the soul cairne for eternity, while also being used as a child's plaything. death seems far too easy a punishment for her, she especially can suck it.
Actually if you search around the back tables of the Bannered Mare in Whiterun there is a note from Maven to a third party that suggests the real target of Maven's sacrament, who incidentally likely can be found nearby where she asks him to meet a representative of hers who will "work out" the details of his "debt" to her. Some "human" remains and an occasional random jewelry item is just off to the side, at higher levels, based on where Maven told the man to go. So chances are she told the Dark Brotherhood where the target was going to be.
The hate we stormcloak sympathizers get lol. That choice is about home, family and tradition. Not racism just because there's a few loud, racist nords. It's interesting how the civil war choices in Skyrim aged rather well when comparing to our modern day, real world political climate. The Thalmor is basically China, pulling strings to divide and conquer.

I think it would be best to not invest in Bothella, you can kill Bothella first time you are in Markarth and Muiri will take over the shop, so she'll be there to invest with when you have 70 speech. Fandom still says she can't be married if you destroy the DB, but I've tried the Destroy DB, kill Bothella Inest with Muiri and it worked. Ironically, I think te first person to talk about this methon online was a dark brotherhood guy talking about how he destroyed the Dark Brotherhoodd and married Muiri. Then more people tried it and reported it working.

considering a dark brotherhood attack can happen at the start of the game right after you leave Helgen, before you ever even meet Maven, and taking the fact you're crossing the border INTO Skyrim, not OUT OF Skyrim, so why you would want to move even closer to someone who wants to "kill" you makes absolutely no sense unless your brain is as smooth as butter so I highly doubt Maven is the contractor
That sounds like a bug. Makes absolutely no sense for a dark brotherhood attack to happen at the beginning of the game. On all my characters it always happens after I'm done doing whatever in riften.
Maven wasn't trying to kill the Dragonborn. She has people killed all the time, you can work for her even after an assassin attacks you, assassins keep coming even while you work for her, and there's plenty of other people who want the Dragonborn dead. It's not always about you.
Knowing what Molag Bal did to Serana makes it all the more satisfying and pleasurable when you beat the shit out of him during his boss fight in Elder Scrolls Online.

I have a question for anyone who could answer it. I gave Serana Dawnbreaker. Now there is no dialogue option for her to join me as a companion. I've completed the Dawnguard dlc and I've tried killing and pickpocketing her to get it back. It's there a way or am I just screwed and am gonna have to start over? Playing on PS5.
She still went on adventures with me after all the DLC, maybe you bothered her about becoming human too soon. Maybe a calm spell will help her join you again. My pick pocket was 100 & I noticed I messed up her inventory when I tried to get her to wear tavern clothes. However, you should still be able to pick back your sword this way. Hope that helps a bit.
There is a "Wheel of Time" Mod that gives you a free follower who will go where your other in game followers cannot go. She is a little spear Maiden. She keeps flirting with Serena and apparently she an Ysolda know each other far to well. Serena told her they could sleep together but she(the spear Maiden) might not survive. With the Spear Maiden, Serana, Sofia mod, and the Dark Brotherhood female (Dark Brotherhood Mod) and I have 4 female followers in my Harem. The hard part is keeping Sofia sober and in clothes. There is a lot of drama with the girls. Serana keeps threatening to drain Sofia because Sofia gets on her nerves.
Forgot to mention, if you treat the little spear Maiden right you can have the "black screen" sex with her same as Serana. What gets me is you cannot have sex with your "wife" and unless you marry a "follower" you cannot have "sex" or get them to wear what you want. The marriage part of the game SUCKS.
Serana was not forced, she agreed to be ofred to Molag baal, her family worship him and she was chosen like her mother to partake to the ritual wich she agreed, she also say that vampirisme is not a curse but a hard-earned gift that she dont want to loose, she is just another regular evil worshiperof Molag baal who feed on innocent blood
I was never interested in Aela in fact I was only interested in Lydia unfortunately she wasn't and option on release so I settled for Camilla I am so glad Lydia was officially added as a romance option. However my favourite girl is Serana who wasn't added till later and is not officially romanceable but I am a sucker for Laura Bailey's voice can't help it I have senory modulation disorder so my hearing is far more sensitive than normal most sounds are unpleasant at best and more painful than a kick in the nuts at worst but some sounds are soothing like some women's voices and Laura Bailey's one of them not so much her Serana voice but she has been in other things and does a posh voice in so anime that's my favourite one she does.
That's the beautiful thing about mods. If you want to romance Serana, there are mods for that. There is even a mod to marry her, or *ahem* do other things to her. Just sayin'
@@trex9263 I know you can get mods I have downloaded a few but honestly they seem to cause more trouble than they are worth half the time either they are incompatible with each other and you don't know at first or which mod is causing the problem or there is an update to the game that breaks them or the mod is updated and becomes incompatible with another mod or a mod needs another mod to work and they use short hand to refer to the base mod making it hard to find. I could go on and on but you get the point I am tired of all the nonsense with mods people act like they are the greatest thing ever but I just keep thinking "I could be actually playing the game than dealing with this hassle" so I just keep the mods to a minimum now mainly the unofficial patch mod and simple ones all in all I am not into modding.
@@matthew-005 Well, I understand. It took me a long time to learn. It required a lot of reading and watching tutorials, but in the end, it was worth it for me. Bethesda didn't help any by constantly updating Skyrim to a new version every so often. But again, I completely understand. Some just want to play and not spend time on the grind of modding. The part with Legate Rikke, even General Tulius says that he isn't sure about the truce with the Aldemeri Dominion and Thalmor. And Grelod the kind is far from kind. Poor Serana, because you know, the entire ordeal she went through with her mother and father, Valerica and Lord Harkon. I do prefer to be a big bad dog than an undead freak.
You can convince Serana to cure her vampirism, if you chose all the correct dialogue options in all encounters with her during the DLC.

1 - There's no evidence Aela and Skjor had a thing. The secretive conversation they have is about being in the inner circle. There's absolutely zero dialogue of her grieving for Skjor other than the few lines about getting revenge against the Silver Hand plus she's a marriage candidate. If you were for example to kill Nazeem, his wife would greet you with "I hope the wilds take you". Killing a kid's parents will also have a chance for them to say something about it. This was not an oversight by the developers. Your theory about joining Skjor in the afterlife is also insubstantial since you cure Kodlak after he died.
2 - It's possible to retrieve a quill for Maven that lets her forge any signature. If you join the thieves guild you not only become leader which could benefit her but you help her establish a monopoly on mead production. If you side with the Empire during the Civil War quest line she becomes jarl of Riften. If you tell her about the plan to steal Frost she says to go ahead with it and that she'll deal with Louis Letrush later. There's no evidence to prove she wants you dead specifically.

I don’t think it’s weird at all that people get attached to Serena. She’s the only follower character who has a fully realized personality and storyline that you can experience gradually over the course of a huge stretch of the game. Every other follower in the game is a one-note caricature who just works for you and barks catchphrases. If all the followers in Skyrim followed you through a huge adventure, made decisions with you in conversations, gave their complicated thoughts on every step of the journey, and had deeper interactions to offer than holding your stuff and hitting bad guys, Serana wouldn’t be such a big deal. She feels more like a person than any other NPC.
It's the same exact reason why super-follower mods like Inigo are so popular. Serana is a fully fleshed out character with a backstory, family drama, a ton of location and quest-based commentary, and perhaps most important she's uniquely voiced. It's not like the stock NPCs where you hear the same 5 voices over and over.

The reverse Uno card I've always wanted ot play was to play a Nord, become thane of every city, get Ulfric to win the war - and then challenge _him_ to a duel where I'd take him apart in seconds, being the player character, Dragonborn, master assassin, Companion, arch mage, ... Afterall, each and every Stormcloak (and Stormcloak supporter) would _have to_ accept the inevitable outcome of that duel, since it's how Ulfric started the whole thing 😛
You kinda also forgot about the book of love questline,the one that dinya at the temple of mara gives you where you visit three areas around Skyrim where you help out solve things between certain couples and at the end you get the agent of dibella perk which makes you do more damage to people of the opposite gender (like 5% or something like that)of you
The thing is some people don't realize is after it dinya is actually pregnant (like seren in dawnstar)

The quest with the couples is "the book of love" and you get it at the temple of mara in Riften. The quest you are referring to is "The heart of dibella" and is obtained if you break into the temple of dibella in Markarth. Both are fun quests with a perk as a reward so it's easy to get those mixed up.

Legate Rikke is my favorite story on this video. It's even better when you talk about her friendship with General Tullius. When she says "Talos be with you" to Ulfrik, Tullius says "What was that Legate" feigning not hearing what Rikke had said as he himself is not against Talos worship, showing how much he cares for Rikke that he will allow Rikke to practice her faith and feign not hearing her when she does it in front of him to protect her.

Great video, but the Black sacrament in Mavens basement probably isn't there for the dragonborn. It's for a girl named Svidi. Svidi is the former lover of Sibbi Black-Briar. Sibbi killed her brother and So Svidi then got Sibbi arrested 😂 Maven wants to kill her for her betrayal and Sibbi is searching for her. And Maven is infuriated by the Dark brotherhood because they can't find her! Svidi have since then cut her hair and is now living in Ivarstead under the Alias "Lynly Star-Sung". She is in hiding in vilemyrs inn! 🙈

I would say more than half, cause when you listen to a lot of the imperial dialogue, especially between Legette and The general, they really just using the treaty to buy time. It’s basically a political long game but the ulfric boys are looking at the now (which understandable to a degree) but the thalmor just get to sit back and watch the infighting weaken the empire

Yeah, Both Serana & her mother were violated by Molag Bal as part of the ritual and they were reborn as vampires.
Never got the impression Serana was forced into anything, pretty sure she even tells you she went in willingly or maybe the line is something like "To become a Daughter of Coldharbour you need to be willing to submit yourself" can't remember the exact phrasing tbh but it was why I'm always surprised when ppl say she was aped or forced, there probably more a argument that her own parents groomed/indoctrinated her but even then i'd just be putting my own narrative on the topic.
All we really know is her, her mum an her dad all trained for it and went into it willingly, what happened during is simply anyone's guess but we can all probably safely say it was far from nice, and after all 3 undoubtedly massacred and drank the blood of alot of innocent ppl.
She was raped nearly to death, that's how she became a Daughter of Coldharbour. And although it was expected of her, I guarantee you she was forced into it. Crap like that happens all the time in the real world, young girls being forced into arranged marriages against their will, etc. They're basically being forced to have sex with some guy they don't want to. And a lot of them can be pretty abusive, since this kind of thing happens in countries where women typically don't have as many rights, or are viewed as second-class compared to men.
In Elder Scrolls lore what happens is Molag Bal violently forces himself on the victim, and afterwards if they are still alive immediately after he sheds a drop of his own blood on their forehead. After they finally succumb to their injuries (they will not survive on their own) and they rise as a pureblooded vampire, their injuries rapidly healing. It's covered in various in-game books in Skyrim and other elder scrolls games, particularly the story of the first vampire Lamae Beolfag, who rose as Lamae Bal after her....experience.

It's explained in game, that Aela and Skjor weren't having a romance but sneaking away to become Werewolves and hunt the Silver Dawn--they later bring you into what they've been doing. Also Aela explains that all the females in her family became Companions, including her mother. All of whom would have likley been werewolves. So most of her family is in Hircine's hunting grounds.
First time i finished the companions questline i went back to the HQ just to find out she dropped dead
This will possibly be pointed out by other people but the man she wanted dead was Christophe. You can find a letter from her to him at the Bannered Mare on the table in the alcove hinting at this.
I have a theory that Christophe successfully fled from Skyrim and that the sell sword drinking in the very same alcove was actually hired to kill him.

id like to point out the dialogue btween skor and aela are completely innocent. at that point in the game you are still and outsider and have not taken the blood oath to become a werewolf, in other words, its still a very closely guarded secret in the companions. what she means by "what you and skor are up to during your little hunts" is the fact that they transform and go on a rampage. theyre not hunting game like normal hunters, theyre hunting as wolves. its called foreshadowing

Every character voiced by Ali Hillis does it for me lol. She did the voice of Lea T'Soni in the Mass Effect games and she does a few NPCs as well as one companion/marryable character and also a Dragon in Skyrim. Such a unique and deeply sexy voice!

Sapphire is an interesting character, she can be married, technically, she is in the group of characters that you can marry, however, you can never reach the required relationship lever to marry her.
On pc use console commands to raise her to relationship level 4, and then approach her wearing the amulet, and she will accept marriage.
I talked to Maven in Riften and a couple in game days later I was riding horseback around solitude when I got the assassin trying to kill me
I robbed her pockets as well
My favourite "perfect coincidence" moment was a guard mocking me with that "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?" comment - and then I got lucky with him actually having a sweetroll in his inventory that I could pickpocket off of him 😜

Yeah, whatever unknown thing the Dragonborn did to get the contract was prior to the game and the Dark Brotherhood does have the "trade one life for another" ritual.
Although one wrinkle is that Astrid implies that you picked correctly if you kill her as well so I wonder if she also had a contract on her head.
@@mlmii1933 I don't think it was Astrid, because the night mother likely wouldn't accept that contract. And it also locks you out of the DB, which wouldn't be the case if you were truly 'fulfilling a contract'.
I think her "well done" is more to praise you for being able to best her, the leader of the dark brotherhood. Since that would require incredible skill, story-wise. It would certainly earn her respect.

in my playthroughs, i usually deal with grelod by capturing her soul, then using it to enchant a wooden sword with the most worthless enchantment i can find, then give it to one of my kids, so grelod ends up in the soul cairne for eternity, while also being used as a child's plaything. death seems far too easy a punishment for her, she especially can suck it.
I had kind of assumed that all the boys were getting it on with Aela. Especially when she goes into heat. Do female werewolves go into heat?

Actually if you search around the back tables of the Bannered Mare in Whiterun there is a note from Maven to a third party that suggests the real target of Maven's sacrament, who incidentally likely can be found nearby where she asks him to meet a representative of hers who will "work out" the details of his "debt" to her. Some "human" remains and an occasional random jewelry item is just off to the side, at higher levels, based on where Maven told the man to go. So chances are she told the Dark Brotherhood where the target was going to be.

Ysolda’s note is circumstantial evidence, at best. It doesn’t prove anything. The wording of the letter and her comments on it after you bring her the news don’t incriminate her, either.

I think it would be best to not invest in Bothella, you can kill Bothella first time you are in Markarth and Muiri will take over the shop, so she'll be there to invest with when you have 70 speech. Fandom still says she can't be married if you destroy the DB, but I've tried the Destroy DB, kill Bothella Inest with Muiri and it worked.
Ironically, I think te first person to talk about this methon online was a dark brotherhood guy talking about how he destroyed the Dark Brotherhoodd and married Muiri. Then more people tried it and reported it working.

considering a dark brotherhood attack can happen at the start of the game right after you leave Helgen, before you ever even meet Maven, and taking the fact you're crossing the border INTO Skyrim, not OUT OF Skyrim, so why you would want to move even closer to someone who wants to "kill" you makes absolutely no sense unless your brain is as smooth as butter so I highly doubt Maven is the contractor
That sounds like a bug. Makes absolutely no sense for a dark brotherhood attack to happen at the beginning of the game. On all my characters it always happens after I'm done doing whatever in riften.

Maven wasn't trying to kill the Dragonborn. She has people killed all the time, you can work for her even after an assassin attacks you, assassins keep coming even while you work for her, and there's plenty of other people who want the Dragonborn dead. It's not always about you.
Knowing what Molag Bal did to Serana makes it all the more satisfying and pleasurable when you beat the shit out of him during his boss fight in Elder Scrolls Online.

I have a question for anyone who could answer it. I gave Serana Dawnbreaker. Now there is no dialogue option for her to join me as a companion. I've completed the Dawnguard dlc and I've tried killing and pickpocketing her to get it back. It's there a way or am I just screwed and am gonna have to start over? Playing on PS5.
She still went on adventures with me after all the DLC, maybe you bothered her about becoming human too soon. Maybe a calm spell will help her join you again. My pick pocket was 100 & I noticed I messed up her inventory when I tried to get her to wear tavern clothes. However, you should still be able to pick back your sword this way. Hope that helps a bit.
There is a "Wheel of Time" Mod that gives you a free follower who will go where your other in game followers cannot go. She is a little spear Maiden. She keeps flirting with Serena and apparently she an Ysolda know each other far to well. Serena told her they could sleep together but she(the spear Maiden) might not survive. With the Spear Maiden, Serana, Sofia mod, and the Dark Brotherhood female (Dark Brotherhood Mod) and I have 4 female followers in my Harem. The hard part is keeping Sofia sober and in clothes. There is a lot of drama with the girls. Serana keeps threatening to drain Sofia because Sofia gets on her nerves.
Forgot to mention, if you treat the little spear Maiden right you can have the "black screen" sex with her same as Serana. What gets me is you cannot have sex with your "wife" and unless you marry a "follower" you cannot have "sex" or get them to wear what you want. The marriage part of the game SUCKS.
Aela's relationship with Skjor is the reason why marrying her is one of the most evil / lame things that Dragonborn can do.
Serana was not forced, she agreed to be ofred to Molag baal, her family worship him and she was chosen like her mother to partake to the ritual wich she agreed, she also say that vampirisme is not a curse but a hard-earned gift that she dont want to loose, she is just another regular evil worshiperof Molag baal who feed on innocent blood
As her mother says, it was expected of both of them, meaning Serana was essentially coerced into it

I was never interested in Aela in fact I was only interested in Lydia unfortunately she wasn't and option on release so I settled for Camilla I am so glad Lydia was officially added as a romance option.
However my favourite girl is Serana who wasn't added till later and is not officially romanceable but I am a sucker for Laura Bailey's voice can't help it I have senory modulation disorder so my hearing is far more sensitive than normal most sounds are unpleasant at best and more painful than a kick in the nuts at worst but some sounds are soothing like some women's voices and Laura Bailey's one of them not so much her Serana voice but she has been in other things and does a posh voice in so anime that's my favourite one she does.
That's the beautiful thing about mods. If you want to romance Serana, there are mods for that. There is even a mod to marry her, or *ahem* do other things to her. Just sayin'
@@trex9263 I know you can get mods I have downloaded a few but honestly they seem to cause more trouble than they are worth half the time either they are incompatible with each other and you don't know at first or which mod is causing the problem or there is an update to the game that breaks them or the mod is updated and becomes incompatible with another mod or a mod needs another mod to work and they use short hand to refer to the base mod making it hard to find.
I could go on and on but you get the point I am tired of all the nonsense with mods people act like they are the greatest thing ever but I just keep thinking "I could be actually playing the game than dealing with this hassle" so I just keep the mods to a minimum now mainly the unofficial patch mod and simple ones all in all I am not into modding.
@@matthew-005 Well, I understand. It took me a long time to learn. It required a lot of reading and watching tutorials, but in the end, it was worth it for me. Bethesda didn't help any by constantly updating Skyrim to a new version every so often. But again, I completely understand. Some just want to play and not spend time on the grind of modding.
