That thumbnail is hilarious 😂
Thanks Mike!
I really wanted to come here and learn some good techniques for blocking. Here I am with a diabolical roll/cut game and can't even set my own block when I want to. I could be doing major damage but being held back because I have NO idea how to consistently and accurately place a blocker. I go higher, I lose accuracy. I throw softer I hit the front of the board. I'm tired of tryna run bags all day with everyone
Blocking is not a technique. It's all about speed control. This video is about ways to work on your speed control. It's not a magic trick. It's about putting in the work to get better. I would recommend trying the drills in this video. My guess is you are landing too deep on the board because you need to land deeper for rolls and cuts. Tape off a box on the lower section of the board and work on landing the bag.
I’m left handed. So this would be the opposite for you.
But, when throwing from the inside arm (board on my left. For you it would be board to the right of you) my bag has a tendency to drift left even before it gets to the board. Meaning in the air I already know I’m too far left of the hole.
Outside arm (board to my right and your left) sometimes I push the bag too far to the right of the hole. Again as soon as it leaves my hand I know I’m too far to the right of the hole.
It’s an issue I thought I had finally resolved. But the last week or so it’s crept back in quite a bit.
Does the tape slow the bag down more than the normal board would? Seems like it would grip the bag a bit.
love it, thanks! I can cut left to right now problem, but I've having trouble getting the right to left cut tilt right. My bag tends to go nose down when trying to get that tilt. work in progress!!
Love these videos. Also, great thumbnail 😂
