The run towards the end where she did a staccato instead of the iconic legato adds so much grit and emotion to it, not to mention the longer Bb4 after that is sooo 🔥🔥🔥 I hope Adam from justthevoice will be able to react to this
1993 was clearly live, she included tons of nuance and breaths. you can even “ hear “ her smile in her vocals during the very last part of the song when she smiles during the last phrase. she almost always sang non-album songs live. “Purple Rain” “Kiss” “Let’s Dance” “Mr. paganini” there are many other examples
@@starlight0002 What made me skeptical about it being live are the suspicious camera angles, like at the 2:17 mark of the vid, the transition between the lines "I can't help" to "falling in love with you" and all the things that follows from there.. It kinda made me think that it's a promotional vid like what Mariah did with "Forever" "live" in MSG
well for me the best tell is Celine and her body language, expression, and lips. experienced fans can tell, and she was singing 100% live based on those things alone. i would put those above camera angles

I wonder who inspired her to bring this song to sing in 1994-1995 in many The Color tour, but this song has never been covered officially by her and make it in an album. Then this song was disappeared from Let's Talk tour and reintroduced again in around 2018-2019.
I think she gets random moments of inspiration. The same for the song "Calling You" and "You're The Voice" -- the latter of which she has said she wanted to sing for years before she actually put it in her show.
It also was the encore on the 92-93 tour as well. I'm most curious at knowing exactly when and why too. Can we presume it debut at the first show of that tour? Or was it similar to 2018, and added in later? We've heard the song in September 93 and may 95, but it's crazy to think in addition to the 20 months between these two performances that we're missing roughly 15 months worth of the earliest performances on this song. Did it evolve any? Ugh I'd just love to know. It's also great knowing that this 95 one is one of the very last before dropping it altogether after a being a 3 year setlist staple. Unlike some songs, she didn't get lazy vocally (or struggle) and then just drop it. Certainly by FIY her catalogue no longer required this cover in a setlist.
