It's so hard to watch this right now. Alexi was the greatest inspiration for me and he always be my greatest idol. I will never be able to understand why this happened to such a young, talented and determined man. Alexi was one of a kind, with the first note I heard I was totally addicted to his music and everything he was doing. So down on earth till the very end. Nothing will be the same without him. Music, Finland, Hate Crew... But his legacy will live with us. Rest in peace my friend, see you in another life.

This is only a little more than a year ago. Man, he seems completely healthy here. R.i.p! I grew up with Bodom, and I'm super greatful for all the amazing music.
He seems healthy in the sense that he seems like he has energy. But if you look at how his actual face looks, you could tell something is going wrong. I was huge into Bodom back in the early 2000s, but then lost touch with them for about 15 years until I randomly saw a a recent interview of Alexi about a year ago. I was shocked by how much he changed. Compare him to how Henkka looks (Henkka actually looks very healthy) and you can tell Alexi was struggling with some health issues
@@Hooga89 You're right, I've noticed how different he looks in later videos, he was always pretty skinny but perhaps he was just showing his age finally.
I don't know, they said "long term health issues" were the cause of death and he went into details in the past of the damage it did to his stomach and so on, he partied like crazy on tours for many years so even if he wasn't a fully blown "alcoholic" on a day-to-day basis, it will do that. I also wonder if it's linked to the band breaking up, you get the impression they (new guitarist excluded) just got sick of working with him, so maybe he fell back into old habits again, who knows. At least you can say he enjoyed his last years being fairly clean and sober and, according to these later interviews, happier too. I think that comes through on the last album as well a bit. They got less aggressive in their sound and lyrics.
Great interview. I have heard most of these answers from him in other interviews, but there are some more special parts too, was totally worth listening to/watching it. Alexi might not look like perfectly healthy 30 years old man with ripped body, but the honesty is definitely there in his answers. In fact I'm quite happy to see that:) (many people say that he acts like if he was lying all the time. Of course it's bullsht.)
Thank you so much! It was the first interview of COB for The Offering Webzine. It was a nice interview( I was a bit nervous and you can see it), he's kind and answered without problem to all the questions. 🙂
If you look closely, you see hes not feeling that good... You can kinda hear it from his voice... Im still processing the fact that he is gone😔💔 R.I.P Wildchild
@@francescoiorfino2002 He still looks much better than he did previously. There was a time where he looked like a walking cadaver, but last year he seemed to be better. We will never know what happened and that' s OK since that is how he wanted it.

Rest in Peace Alexi 🖤

You think so? I think he seems very sick already here. He's very thin and his face looks gaunt.
