This is a platform bed that i built several years ago. I drew the plans on autocad, which was helpful in getting the size and dimensions and look of the bed exactly right before i started. The queen size mattress is 60"x80". I had about an 8" overhang on the sides. The bed was made with pine to keep the cost down.

Thank you for a simple and easy to understand tutorial! ❤❤❤
Just want to say thank you 🙏
Just amazing 👌🏼 you literally just built my dream bed
since its the bottom you could mark off the corners of the legs on the piece of wood you are drilling into so you dont miss screw holes and have a bunch of holes there and for a less permanent solution you could just put a strip of painters tape right where the box will be place so that when you line the box up youll just have to see if the painters tape is covered on each side then once its installed you wont see the tape
👍👍👍
The overhangs look great but probably end up smacking into them.
Yes. I like the look, but it isn't practical.
Cost of materials? Shopping list break down?
I built it maybe 8 years ago, hard to remember. But i do remember that the total cost of the wood was $100 - $120? Plywood headboard was $20. 4 - 2x12's (3 sides and 4 legs) were maybe $40. 1 - 2x8 (top) was maybe $8. Plywood for under mattress was maybe $15. Then all the brackets were maybe $10. Hopefully you can get the exact sizes and boards from the PDF or the AutoCAD drawing in the description.
I could not find any more information as stated !
I will upload a link for the PDF's and AutoCAD (.dwg) file later today. They are on my computer at home.

If you can not afford to buy it twice, you can not afford it
