Jesus loves you man! Him and His word are my go to whenever I feel as if I’m at a dark place. I used to love going to music tho. I love music, always have, always will, which is why it was the perfect place for me to go when I was depressed. Music releases something in us that we can’t really explain, but it just touches a certain part of us that relates to the emotions we’re currently feeling, but that’s not always a good thing. I would always go to depressing, sad, existential music that made me feel something. Something that was ethereal, atmospheric, gut wrenching, and just sounded really good to me. But it’s not sustainable, and it never truly helps you or your situation. But now I go to Jesus’ Word! And trust me, it’s so much better! A verse I love is Philippians 4, which says ““And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” In the same way that music would give me, and I’m sure gives you, this false sense of peace or closure, Christ tells us that He will give us TRUE peace that we can’t comprehend or understand, and that’s what gets me through those dark places now. I hope what I said resonates with you in some way, I’ll be praying for you man. I sincerely recommend checking out the Lord and His word, He seriously loves you. John 3:16 says ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus went so far as to dying on the cross for our sins, I know it seems quite odd, it’s a wild concept. But since humans sinned in the beginning of the earth, the punishment for sin was death, which used to be atoned for with an animal sacrifice. But it was always only temporary because animals can’t commit sin due to them not having free will, but Jesus was fully human and fully God with a free will and chose not to sin, and chose to die on a cross as atonement for ALL of our sins, for your sins.
