Gatineau Park is not located in Ottawa. it’s located in Quebec so is Jack Cartier park and Nordic spa. So that brings your list down to 16 😂

National capital region
Unfortunately the mosaic in Gatineau, across the river from downtown Ottawa and Parliament, no longer exists. It was only designed for Canada is 150th birthday in 2017. They extended Mosaic for one year in 2018, but will not produce this one of a kind exhibitions again.

Sorry but the museum you show (history ) is inn Gatineau, as is Gatineau Park, and the flower sculptures which you did indicate, Nordik spa is in Chelsea Quebec, basically this should say Ottawa Region, as a lot of the things you mention are not even in Ontario
Mosaica occurred during the country's 150th (two years ago, 2017). Some of the listed attractions no longer exist. Travellers check the latest information for newer attractions. Ottawa has three seasons, Summer, Autumn & Winter. It is a beautiful city with heritage pouring from every corner. We share our cites with the city of Gatineau. For the natives, it can become boring, but, as a visitor, so much to take in!
Mosaic was there last summer when we were there 2018.

The comment section is mixed feelings about Ottawa, it’s you love it or dislike it. It depends on the person. Personally I’ve lived here all my life and love it, I had no clue about some of these places, if you’re not a fan, I believe you have to do some research yourself and find things for yourself you’d find fun! That’s what I’ve been doing. In addition, I find it nice not having a lot of people.

Ottawa is dumb everything on this list is barely in ottawa! The only good places in Canada is like Vancouver Toronto and niagara falls I don't know what your talking about but ottawa is dumb they be charging to much money too.
Ottawa is a pretty great place in the summer but it’s so much better in the winter, mainly because there are beaver tail stands everywhere but there is the canal which is awesome to skate on. Btw the best time depending on weather to go to the Rideau canal is January, that also goes for winter loued which the canal is kinda part of.
The Rideau Canal is beautiful, but one cannot live there.
Get out of the city and explore the Ottawa Valley. I've been here since 1980 and there are always new surprises around the corner. Ditto for crossing the river and checking out little villages over in Quebec.
All around Ottawa is definitely beautiful. Great tip to explore Ottawa valley.

If you want the true Ottawa experience, visit the Rideau McDonald’s ! That McDonald’s has 800 calls to the police a year, making it Ottawa’s second most reported location for crimes. Check out the teenage wannabe gangsters and all the crackheads (well known as doo-doo-cracks by the locals) and remember that the best stories take place at night !

Flying in a biplane would be an amazing experience. We'll definitely have to keep that in mind if we are ever in the area.

Yeah sure there's tons of stuff to do during the summer, try making a video like this but for winter time. There isn't very much in Ottawa during winter, pretty much winterlude and Skating on the canal.
We are actually in the midst of making a video about winter. We were there in January and are going back again this weekend. Challenge accepted :D
@@ThePlanetD yes I saw it, it's a great video but unfortunately unless people own Vehicles it's not very easy for everyone to do what you guys did in the video. We have city buses here but it's expensive at $3.50 each person for a single trip, and your transfer is usually only good for about an hour and a half, that as well as kids.. It gets expensive just to do family outings. I have my 10 year old and 9 year old step kids and then my 5 year old son and 2 year old son. It's hard to find things appropriate for all ages and not so costly :(
I guess you didn't cover food, however, having Beaver Tails and Poutine would make that list.

#8. In Gatineau Quebec. #9, in Gatineau... not even open any longer. #4 in Chelsea Quebec. I get that they are close to Ottawa, but title should say what’s to do Around Ottawa. I live here, yes Ottawa can be boring, but there are a lot of sightseeing things to do. Tulip festival in spring is great, as well as Winterlude in winter on the canal.
If you watch our Ottawa Winter video, you'll see that we too agree, Winterlude is a must.

Soooooo nothing to do in ottawa. The most exciting things in Ottawa are probably BluesFest and the Sports teams like the Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Red Blacks. But these aren't listed for some reason.
Well, we weren't there during BluesFest, plus It was summer, so the Senators weren't playing (hockey takes place in winter in case you didn't realize that) and a football game would be great, but they don't play in Ottawa all the time. They are actually only about 10 games per season in Ottawa, so if you time it right, you can make it but there wasn't one when we were there. . We highly recommend a CFL game when visiting Canada though. Hope you have a Happy Canada Day.

No job, everything including housing is so expensive, weather sucks. And imagine that canada is bigger than us, the population is 1/10 of the us, then look at the quality of life for us people compared to canadian people. It’s a joke!

I completely DISAGREE. Ottawa has the best Theatres like the Shaw Centre that has amazing events. The National Arts Center that houses alot of people for amazing plays, Operas and of course Art. Do downtown Ottawa has a lot to offer
From Street vendors to food and markets vegetable stands and fruit during the summer months. There is our national park ways that are shut down on Sunday is for family bicycling days. We have nightlase we have Daylights we have many museums and food that is written in many books magazines Canadian cuisine. So , I feel bad for you if you think Ottawa Sucks, you obviously have not opened your front doors and took a step out if you live here. If you don't live here you haven't had the appropriate tourism information the internet has a lot to offer as well as many places for tourist here in Ottawa. I LOVE my City, Province and my Country. 💋💋🌎😘👍😁

613. The place to be..
Born and raised here, so many negative comments I have to comment. 1st I agree the public transit sucks, but as a tax payer I don`t want to pay for free loaders to travel for almost nothing, it`s adequate to commute to work and back from the suburbs, otherwise if you need to travel elsewhere go with Uber or by bicycle.
There are tons of things to do here in Ottawa, you missed the Rideau Carleton Raceway and Casino for food and entertainment, Calypso Water Park it is one large park about 40 minutes east right off the 417 highway, Ferme Rouge for food and entertainment and so many other great restaurants/bars and shops, CFL NHL and Soccer. Glad you got to the Omega Park on your winter video, it's a year round attraction, but you could have done dog sled, skiing. 1 hour south there's the 1000's Island to explore and plenty of cottage/camping life all around.
Post secondary campuses and great health care with great hospitals makes it a great place to live.
Now if they could only repave 90% of the roads and do it with quality long lasting weather resistant material.
Three are a lot of things to do for sure! We usually visit once a summer and definitely have to do another video to include more! We are going back to Omega this fall. I hear the fall colours are beautiful. And yes, love the 1000 islands. Someone could do an entire hour long documentary on all the things to do in around and near Ottawa. Cheers!
