  • Today I am showing you how to roll henna cones using a couple different methods. I encourage you to experiment and see what way works best for you!
    The first method is rolling a cone using a 4X8 inch rectangle using the rotary mat and cutter. I show you how to roll the cone around a pin as well.
    The second method is how to roll a cone using a triangle shape without specific measurements. In this example I will also be rolling the cone closed.
    After we've rolled some cones I show you how to fill and seal them!
    As you can see there are several different ways you can roll you cones and the only way to find what works is to practice and experiment!
    Hope you enjoyed this video, leave a like if you did! And feel free to message me if you have any other questions.
    Here are the websites where I get the different cello papers and the rotary mat & cutter:

    You are adorable! And this video is on point. The henna cone learning was the most difficult process of making henna for me. I still remember the days!

    I made cones yesterday. I bought the cones ready rolled and the powder etc from Ash Kumar in the UK. Because I struggled so much with rolling cones myself. Today most of my hands are a lovely brown/orange stain. What I really struggled with was filling the cones. I couldn't get the carrot bag to go down far enough. So with many cones it glooped out th etop when taping it down.

    Your videos are so incredible. My mom was a Henna artist in India and is now retired. I have learned this art from her. I also use to apply henna before my kids were born and want to start again but so much has changed in the process that I learned from my mom. I must say it has become so convenient now. Currently, I am trying to shop for cellophane sheets locally in MA, USA. I see that you have links for them for paper mart but it cost too much for shipping. Can you please advise the thickness of cellophane used to make cones so I can shop locally to get started? I see the thickness of 2.3 to 3 mil. which is good for cones. An approximation will be fine too. Thank you

      Will you be shipping henna internationally? I tried to order your henna but it's only for United States. I'm a big fan of your work from Australia. I would really love to try your henna.

    Thank you for this amazing video!
    Are you measuring your henna once you have put it into the cone?

    • @GopiHenna
      @GopiHenna  5 лет назад +2

      Mariam Javed I do for my orders I ship out for customers, I have a 15 gm and 25 gm size but for myself i don’t measure I just fill them up slightly more than 3/4 of the cone then seal. So it’s up to you if you want them all exact or not 🙌

      How do you know that you’ve got 15g & 25g?

    • @GopiHenna
      @GopiHenna  5 лет назад +2

      You use a digital scale and set it to grams and fill them accordingly

    Alright I've got a few problems. So I always make a henna cone from a plastic bag and that works fine, but when I go use it it always leaks. And this has more to do with my henna making, I make the henna myself, but when applying it it clogs. It,s really annoying and makes it hard to do it good. I'm no expert and quite new to this, it's also not really a part of my culture, so I really have no idea how it's supposed to work. So I hope you can help me.

    • @GopiHenna
      @GopiHenna  7 лет назад +1

      Use lots of tape on every seam! I've noticed the rectangle works best with cello or thicker paper and the triangle method works best for Mylar or thinner material. Also watch my other video on how to strain your henna paste so you won't have any clumps. Rolling around a pin like in this video also helps because sometimes if you cut the tip with scissors it can snag and not be as freely flowing. But rolling with a pin does take some practice--hope that helps!

      @@GopiHenna sadly after using a lot of tape, the cone is really stiff and hard to work with, is there a way to avoid this?

    • @Dont_be_negative
      @Dont_be_negative 24 дня назад

      May be you need to strain the paste again to make the cone clog proof.
