Outrunning a cop on foot is even easier than in a car. Most are out of shape and can't burst a sprint for more than qp seconds. We used to do this regularly when younger.
As always I feel sorry for the owners of those vehicles especially so if the getaway car is not theirs. I also am bothered by the fact that when the suspects bail out of the moving vehicles and have no consideration as to the damage and injuries that the vehicle could do.
